I'm going to wait until we get more details about Necrozma's forms since I doubt GF would hype up their new forms just to completely rip-off Kyurem with no new bells and whistles, but I will say that on first impression it is very disappointing that they didn't mix up its basis. Even if the general idea is to play off the concept of prisms and light, I think they could've taken it and spun it in a way that made Necrozma it's own beast.

So, like how the Awakening characters got a group trailer, they released trailers for the Fates characters, one for Hoshido and one for Nohr.

This, plus the placement of characters on the special edition poster, basically confirms that these are all of the Fates characters we're getting, and most notably, that we won't be getting Azura. They wouldn't do a Fates group trailer set without all the Fates cast, which makes Azura easily the most surprising omission thus far. I guess IS didn't push for her inclusion like they did for Lucina.


On another, brighter note, we're in Shadow Dragon territory now, with the bulk of them likely being revealed at Tokyo Game Show (I think the Direct will have English versions of the latest trailers, or a new one entirely focused on History Mode).

Wow, those are nice remixes of Alight and A Dark Fall.

I'm honestly really surprised Azura isn't here somewhere, the developers greatly hyped up the whole 'connections' thing among the cast so you'd think Azura, a character who has a similar relationship as Corrin to the rest of the cast, would be playable. I guess they didn't want to focus too much on Fates since that'd put them at 11 and they probably wanted other characters, but it's still a strange omission to make.

It's good to see NintenZone as it is now.

When I read about the possibility of new Smash info, I came back to see what it's going on around here.
I agree that tagging C.Falcon is much more possible to be a Smash-Bros reference than a F-Zero one.
My dream is that the new content be available to the Wii U version, but I think the chances are really really low.

Do someone remember about the leak that talked about "Smash hiring/relocating for Smash 6 design" (Smash5 as the Wii U version)? Maybe the result of this people of 2~3 years ago will be shown tomorrow.
My bet is a subspace mode and 2~3 new characters (Ice climbers, Inkling and Snake/Spring Man). I'm sad that this will probably bring balance changes.

The real bull**** is how Captain Falcon wasn't playable in any form in MK8.

Arena Trap got suspected.

I hate you too Smogon.

Flying Pokemon(the third most common typing), Pokemon with Levitate(one of the most common abilities), Pokemon holding a Flying Balloon(which is very common in Smogon's metagame), Ghost Pokemon as of Gen VI and Moves like U-Turn(which almost every team has), Parting Shot(while not common, gives a way for three Pokemon to escape when they wouldn't be able to normally) and Baton Pass(which was completely banned by Smogon, ironically) are all immune to its effects.
Countering it is way too easy for it to deserve a ban, even more since it's incredibly easy to predict it since any Dugtrio will have it.

Seriously, I'm so tired of Smogon, no matter what you think of certain bans, it's so ****ing obvious they are biased to their own playstyles and the biggest evidence of all of this is Gen V:
You all remember Gen V, you literally could not play online because all there was were Rain or Sun teams, with battles resolving to who could kill the other's weather setter first since it was infinite through Drizzle and Drought.
Before that, Groudon and Kyogre never changed things up because they were Ubers where it resolved to "who has the strongest Legendary?", Tyranitar had an infinite weather that didn't boost its own attacks and Abomasnow had lol hail lol.
What did Smogon do? Nothing. Weather reigned supreme during the entirety of its metagame and no limitations were put on it. Thankfully, GF nerfed weather or else we'd still be in hell.
But what they did do? Ban Excadrill on the grounds that Sand Rush Excadrill was too fast and strong during Sandstorm. You know what else is super fast and hits like a truck on weather? Swift Swim Pokemon, who also get their STAB Water moves boosted by Rain. The worst of them? Kingdra, with just one point less in Spd than Excadrill, with Swift Swim, Surf and Dragon Pulse it could just ****ing murder entire teams without care because the one thing that could resist its two STABs were Empoleon and Ferrothorn.

Now, look at the current metagame, while they unbanned some stuff from Gen VI, Aegislash, the Pokemon equivalent of a Splatroller, is in Ubers; Mega Gengar is still banned for one simple gimmicky strategy; Shadow Tag is banned completely(so rip Gothorita's usability and **** your Wobbuffet); and Baton Pass is also banned completely.
Like, what's the reason for banning BP? I could at least get the "one BP per team" rule but banning it completely? It removes an element from the game that gave some Pokemon a niche.

Meanwhile, Pokemon like the ****ing Tapus run wild in OU as if they don't centralise the metagame enough.
And Entry Hazards, after all this time, have never been put under discussion. Honestly, I don't think people understand how much BS they are. Spikes are fine and Sticky Web doesn't affect as many Pokemon.
But Stealth Rocks? **** those things, they completely kill the usage of Pokemon weak to them because they lose 1/4 of their HP just by being sent out while Pokemon like Charizard and Volcarona lose 1/2 of their whole HP. There are only two moves that can remove them: one that has limited access and the other also has limited access unless you transfer a Pokemon all the way back from the Sinnoh games. They are completely useless otherwise.
And it's clear the only reason they haven't been at least limited(seriously, the fact SR can be stacked with all the other EH makes it all worse) is because that's how Smogon plays, they aren't going to ban stuff they benefit from, they're gonna ban stuff that annoys them.
Unless you want to tell me a Pokemon who is incredibly fast and cannot be hit by priority while dealing damage from a STAB move boosted by their ability is more balanced than passing your stat boosts to another Pokemon or a ****ing sword that needs to become tissue paper to attack.
