But I have to say, you've got to be crazy to use Wendy, like, what the hell? How did you make her work?

Well I had her kill the reinforcement archers that spawn from the staircases in 8, then had her and Lilina take out the mercs/fighters that trail you in 8x. I also gave her the first angelic robe you get so that helped her survive better. Getting he a support with Lilina also helped boost her offense and accuracy a bit.

After that I dropped her on the fort where the hand axe pirates spawn in Chapter 9. She killed the pirates that spawned from the fort next to it.(they're pretty weak considering they don't have the con to wield the steel axes they carry so their avoid and accuracy are garbage and they're easy to double)

She is pretty terrible though. If you're dead set on using an armor knight in FE9, Bors or even barth are probably better.

Fae is going to be deadweight once she spents those Dragonstone uses. It's ****ing Myrrh all over again, I can't believe I almost fell for that trap

I'm feeding her kills because she's forced deployment in the final chapters and i need to make sure she's not weak at that point. She gets like 90+ EXP per kill so it's not bad training her.

I usually do use Dieck but I tried to deliberately pick units who are usually considered "inferior." Plus I wanted to get his supports with Wendy and Lalum. Now that he's promoted he's not too bad.

I had this theory regarding Xenoblade X and a possible connection to the newly revealed Xenoblade 2...

I do want to hear people's thoughts on this...

Spoiler: Minor spoilers but nothing plot-related

My theory was regarding Sylvalum...no doubt a unique area compared to the other regions in the game...

Noticing the large white structures that surround most of the region as well as the large presence of what appears to be fungi and spores in the area...Of course we also see a lot of bizarre trees with orb-like structures all over the region...

My theory was that Sylvalum is the remnant of a fozzilised "giant tree"...These tall white structures are the remains of the tree's bark, the presence of all the fungi in the area due to the tree's decomposition after it died, as well as the other 'orb trees' which could could be saplings of the original tree....as we can see by the large tree within Sylvalum we can see that they could grow to substantial sizes...

Does the thought of a giant tree sound not familiar? Could this be another possible connection between the games? It would support the notion that X takes place far into the future from the other games which would imply its not as strongly connected...

Thinking of the Orb trees, I wonder if there would be a massive planet-sized orb at the top of the tree in XC2...perhaps this tree is the connection between two planets or worlds...in X it was possible you could go inside of the big orb, at the risk of getting demolished by a large Tyrant residing within it...this Tyrant is rather unique much like Telethia in Noctilum and could similarly have an appearance in XC2 in some way...

Perhaps this planet-sized orb could be the mentioned Elysium in the trailer?

There's so many possible implications if this is indeed the case, though its only a theory keep in mind...

It's not Genocide exclusive. It's based on a fun value distinction like the rest of the Gaster stuff. In other words, you more than likely will never see it in normal gameplay.

It's supposed to be a sort of Wham Line.

From what I remember, you get locked out, yeah. You also miss a bunch of chapters meaning Roy will literally promote before the end of the game

Nah once you get past chapter 22 you're good(I think). Though I'd recommend saving them since pretty much all the enemies in the last two chapters are dragons.

There are references in-game, for instance the "Beware the man who speaks in hands" and Sans' Secret, but the juicy stuff is in the data of the game.

Now I've never done it, but from my understanding, you have to access the rooms via scene selecting (its like noclipping except you're going directly to a part in game).

The only reason why I know anything about Gaster is cause there's funny ass comics online about him and I researched about him in curiosity of who he actually is.

As said it's a theory, one that I came up with while playing the game over a year ago and thought it was neat since it gives the region and the planet some history, which is always good since it adds to the depth of the game...Yesterday it occurred to me that it may mean a possible connection to XC2 since it prominently featured a giant tree in the trailer....

However even if my theory is correct the two games may still be unrelated outside of both being Xenoblade games...I am leaning towards XCX being of a different continuity also, since XC and XC2 appear to follow more fantasy inspired tropes whereas XCX is pretty much full-on Science Fiction...

The colour of the stars is just cosmetic in most cases (when deciding on a map to play, they indicate the rarity of the enemy units; otherwise, two stars are always grey, three are always bronze, four are always silver, five are always gold).

Four stars is a better starting point than three stars, three stars is a better base than two stars, and so on. They're just base stats, though - growth rates are (presumably) a thing, so it's possible that a three-star unit can end up better than a four-star unit if the four-star unit gets screwed badly enough. But usually the four-star unit will have enough of a head start that they will usually turn out better regardless.

Great thank you. I'm slowly going to train up Serra in that case but ill prob replace her later since I find her a bit annoying.

I should probally stop relying on my 1 star Sophia too. Got her up to level 21 XD. Will defo find it easier if I level up higher star characters.

Look at that ****ing 30 Atk, she's my precious little nuclear cinnamon roll
Draw Back is good for Hit'n Run tactics and Hone Atk is a great buff to my other two offensive units.
I still don't get how exactly Gronnblade works though.

Raven was the first time IS decided they only needed one base Merc so they fused the "good bases but bad growths" with the "bad bases but good growths" and Raven came into existence as the "Merc with great bases and even greater growths". Good to see he keeps that trait here.

Seems she stole Haitaka's Rally Defense lol
She's not strong or fast but she's great for a 3* unit and she's able to tank hits
Seal Def helps herself and Raven and Threaten Res helps Nino so she's a great support tank
