Have you read any of the original chick tracts? My money's on this film being earnest.
Either that or it was a joke that they didn't know when to stop.
"Lol, someone should make this crap into a movie"
"Let's try and get the movie rights for a larf"

And so on, so forth.

The devil seems to be a pretty chill dude though
I mean, if he really created all these cool things, he must be a cool guy. And I'm sure an afterlife on a hot cave full of gays can't be bad
Meanwhile, what has god given us, life? I just want to be dead already, thanks for nothing
Yeah, exactly. Plus what are his evil plans anyway nowadays? Spreading fun and dank memes in order to unite the world under the "evil" illumaniti? That sounds pretty chill to me. :p

Nah, though Chick Tracts are unironic. The film itself is actually suppose to be ironic because that specific tract has become so infamously bad among the table top community. The film actually premiered at a table top convention.

There's definitely crazier tracts than that one though, I thought that one was always tame compared to the crazyness of others.

Rhydon>Rhyperior is the one I can say that comes off my head without a doubt.

Really? Another person that does? Well so much for me being unique here. :p
I prefer knowing someone with similar interests because you can then talk about it with someone
:089:bye ,special snowflaake
See you lateer

I would joke, but seeing how I have a sick sense of humor, I ll just say yes
We all have a sick sense of humor
Like that time someone made a 9/11 joke
You can't get worse than that

It's also incredibly awkward that they evolve to lose the ability to walk on land.
It instead gains the ability to float while still being affected by Earthquake

Scyther over scizor

Also Haunter over Gengar

Kadabra over Alakazam

As bad as fanbases can be, I think hatedoms are even worse.

At least you can avoid weird fat drawings of your favorite characters most of the time. There's no running away from endless insulting comments on every site you read. And said insulting is the reason why I have to look at those drawings most of the time anyway, rather than any effort from the artists themselves.

The worst parts of a fandom for me are the ones that hate parts of their own series and anyone who likes those parts, too. So for the discussed issues, the Deviantart side isn't even a blip on the radar for me compared to the broken base because you can simply sidestep Deviantart while Genwunners will exist to insult your preferences and possibly even yourself at every turn no matter where you go.

The side of the Sonic fandom I saw didn't feel so different from Pokemon or this very fandom, it's just that they somehow manage to be even more bitter about not getting what they want. Which considering Pokemon and this fandom is kind of a feat.

But to me, though, "fans" like that are closer to being part of the hatedom than to being actual fans at all.

Agreed, haters can be just as annoying as fanboys.

One example I can think of is when SomecallmeJohnny reviewed Undertale. People were complaining at the very idea of him reviewing the game.

Oh yeah, definitely, I was just joking. And besides, there's not enough people that like traps.

Also, on following a similar subject and one I find much easier to list: What pokemon do you prefer the normal design over the mega one?

Slowbro>Mega Slowbro.
Garchomp>Mega Garchomp
Manetric>Megam Manetric
Scizor>Mega Scizor

Off the top of my head.

Have fun. A good place to watch readings of them is on a channel called The Bible Reloaded. They have a whole playlist and do a great job of poking fun at them.

The Chick Tracts TV Tropes page I re-read a few days ago said that the movie was actually made by a director who wasn't taking it seriously and threw in stuff like Cthulhu. . .but the original tract writer was dead serious.

Said TV Tropes page also said even hardcore Fundamentalists think Chick is nutty, which considering my personal experience and what I can extrapolate out of that is probably correct.

Definitely. One example that comes to mind recently is a guy another forum. He loves to rant about people anime to the point where it overshadows any talk about anime by at least twice as much. Even talking about anime in a thread which the topic is the upcoming Godzilla anime thingie. :p I have yet to even get into anime like most people, it just that he's that obnoxious about that.

In fact one thing that always kept me from getting into it is how obnoxious the anti fans are.Same goes for other fandoms with obnoxious anti fans, like Undertale. I never even gotten into Undertale for that reason.

Yep, that'd be correct. Keep in mind he's pretty old and in his own bubble though. As a result it pretty much makes his tracks universally disliked by everyone besides perhaps other people in a similiar bubble.

If I could be a boy and marry them al, I so would

I did Marry Raeger in my first file and I did think Nadi was pretty adorable

I have a question for you guys:

Who here reads books (like novels) for a hobby? I really have no interest to start any book but my parents repeatly push me to do even I tell them no. Books are simply not my thing.

I was going to read the wizard of oz series

But then I found out Marvel made a graphic novel of the first 5 books

I used to love reading.
Then Honors English classes happened.
Then it removed everything I enjoyed out of one of my hobbies.
That's what happened to me with art classes.

I used to enjoying drawing, now I can't stand it.

On that note to answer Wario Bros. Wario Bros. question, I'm not much a reader. Mom always pushes me to do it but it's just not my thing.

Lines start to blend together when I read, I think I have some kind of mild dyslexia

Not in everyday situations, just in long things of text

They're usually not my thing like other hobbies but that's only due to time. However in my english class this year I had to choose a book. And I found that most of them were uninteresting until I stumbled across some Halo books. Then I simply just chose one of those, and so far I've been reading them and it puts more perspective into the older Halo games I've used to play.(The one I'm reading is called Ghost of Onyx, and it's ten years old now.)

In general I find books with there own original stories to be pretty bleh for my tastes. I like books with some kind of connection to media I'm into.(Another example being the Jurassic Park Novels which I really enjoyed.)

Yeah, but again, are we talking about the same kind of traps?
Is that a reference to the best Scooby-Doo show?

Here, you deserve it.

School seemed to take away a lot of the drive and pleasure I used to have.

The education system is awful.

Seriously, I used to love to read.

School ruined it by forcing to me to read boring or awful books.

Occasionally they give me a book I like. It's like I refound the spark.

Then I have to write essays on it. Awful...

Same with me. "Make 10 mandatory Dutch book reports" I lost all interest in reading afterwards. 3 years later "The servers got wiped, you need to do them all again"

Who knows? :3
It seems like Kindle eBooks are replacing regular books as our technology and such grows. Makes me wonder what the future of reading beholds... I hope it involves less book reports and just forced reading in general. if I want to read something, I'd favor the choice myself nowadays.
