Well, looking up trending on facebook and twitter is really interesting.

It seems to have turned into a culture war between the old generation and the young generation

The young generation even saying "Those above age 65 shouldn't be allowed to vote"
That is deplorable.

The older generations have as much right to vote as the younger ones.

I understand that the older generations won't be around as long, but its not like they don't care or that they are somehow stupider.

The people supporting that notion don't want democracy. They want their own opinions and only their own opinions.

Honestly, I hate this notion with a burning passion.

I hope the decision of Britain leaving the EU doesn't effect my trip to London in August in any way...

Best/worst (depending on views) the formalities will take at least two years to complete during which time the UK is still an EU nation. Only thing that may be affected is how much cash you get in exchange.

Granted I'm from the USA, but I'd be in the remain camp personally. I can understand wanting certain control over certain policies but I think the long term and economic benefits would have been more important. Oh well. The age gap is certainly larger than ever thanks to globalization & the internet.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I'm somewhat glad the Dollar is increasing in strength right now, as it means imports will be cheaper and there's a good chunk of games I want for my Master System & Famicom. Embarrass

AAAAAAAANND the British Prime Minister resigned.
****. I feel sorry for the guy who's going to be in charge of cleaning up the economic mess.

But you are going to import from Japan, right?

A stronger Yen means you'll have to pay more, I think.

Part of the reason the UK wants to leave the EU is so they have control over their borders

Y'know, because of Immigrants
This might show my ignorance of the situation, but...doesn't the UK already have more control over it's borders than most EU countries? IIRC they aren't part of the Schengen.

My bad I misread that. That said, I do import from Europe for a lot of SEGA stuff (mostly Master System) and have bought Famicom carts from there before. ;)

I honestly don't have much to say on this current political issue right now since I just woke up to it so I haven't had a chance to process it yet.

Just wanna share this unrelated thing because I thought it was an interesting thing, though it may be a coincidence.

I haven't done much research into the prime minister of Britain, but I know a UK channel I watch on youtube seems to hate the guy

It benefits me because now it'll take a lot less money to pay off my student loans. The the past year, I've essentially had to pay 20,000 Yen (Now 200 USD) more for my student loans. Heck if I had just waited three days, I could have saved 4,000 Yen (Now 40 USD). But importing from Japan will suck.

Those actually look really good.
They're delicious.

It's been years since I've had any, but they were one of my childhood sweets.

And now they technically can't be sold in the UK anymore, so everyone in the UK is stocking up on them. :p

Apparently even food gets region locked....

This is probably a silly question, but how will this fare for the PAL version of games, will it remain the same as usual. Or will be like the Australian versions and become a section of its own? Can it affect game releases in any way?
The only immediate effect this decision has on the game's industry is that stocks for international/British games companies have gone down because the pound isn't as valuable now.

This could in turn discourage localisations in the UK or could simply result in less game/merchandise stock being sent to the UK.

SEGA of Europe for example, was already pretty bad with getting games released over here, so it's likely gonna get even tougher.

I do think most companies will still release the games in the UK because they still have to localise the games for places like Ireland, which is an English speaking country and is in the EU. However, I would imagine we would just see less stock going the UK.

I see, hopefully it won't be too bad then. Otherwise I'd probably have to start pre-ordering any new releases that come out....

Nice, any idea of what kind of news? Hopefully not another E3 recap.

So now that Brexit has become a real thing, does this mean that they will get Sun & Moon before the rest of Europe :troll:

You know as much as I do at this point...I doubt it'll be another recap...
GameFreak's been giving us something the first half of each month so this news is likely going to be news...

Apparently "a lot of people will be shocked by the next Nintendo machine and not in a good way" comes from a NeoGaf poster who has been known to post insider information in the past.

Less reliable 10k is also posting that Ubisoft has the console dev kits.

As always, take this information with a grain of salt.

"Shocked and not in a good way". Oh God, it's gonna be packaged with an HD remake of Metroid: Other M, isn't it?

Here's some news that I actually care about

http://nintendoeverything.com/new-layton-inazuma-eleven-games-to-be-announced-next-month/

New Inazuma Eleven game confirmed. Oh and Layton I guess.
Wait... new Layton....

First, a brand new Layton title will be revealed at Level-5 Vision 2016. It’s not Layton 7 which we saw a couple of years ago. Instead, it’ll be a true, proper entry in the series. It will also have a new protagonist, and it’s not Layton’s son Alfendi. The Japanese voice cast list will be full of all-stars from movies.
OOOOOOOOOOHHH!

Erureido Erureido @MaskO' check this out. The Professor Layton series is finally coming back. :D

It will involve a new protagonist though (But that's to be expected since they said that sometime ago), eitherway. I'm glad to hear that the series is back in action. There's some artwork there too.

A new Layton game will be revealed... it is not Layton 7... and is a proper new entry to the series? This is really exciting news! I'm pretty curious who the new protagonist will be if it isn't Alfendi. My money is still on an older Luke Triton, though the concept art seems to suggest that it could be someone else at the moment. Either way, I really can't wait to hear more about this!

The concept art looks interesting though, it looks like it's taking a more Japanese approach rather than the European style the series used to go with. Although one of the concept artworks has the Big Ben depicted in it so this game might still take place in England. But who knows I guess, can't wait to hear more about this.

I'll wait until we see something solid on this new Layton game. If it looks good, I'll consider it.

It's not really gonna sell to me on the basis of calling it a "Layton" game, because it's not a Layton game to me if it doesn't star the Professor, even if it's in the same universe. I'm probably gonna just look at this as a new IP.
