Called my Gamestop, and they actually laid down their pre order plans for me. Bear in mind this could be a store by store basis thing still, but if this helps, it helps.

*They will open at their regular times tomorrow
*They will put a sign of the number of units they will be receiving on the door. Once that number is pre ordered, they can't take anymore.
*You need to put 50 dollars down minimum
*you can, of course, pre order any games and accessories at that time as well

...So time to stand out in a line at 5 in the morning. In the snow. Yay.

If you're wondering why I'm using the Wii U browser (and why I've been gone for so long), I took a week long vacation, had fun... and then my laptop's fan decided to **** itself. So, this is kinda all I have at the moment. Yay.

Despite that, still excited to see the Switch presentation (which I can thankfully watch on here).

Literally found that out 2 days after it came out, since I was searching for relaxing Zelda music. Tho I also found out the first thelophany for the first time (I think) then too. Already listened to both like 2-3 times.

I liked it.

I like the fact that it implied things like the parallel universes but the main plot was a bit odd.

That said, Rayquaza fighting Deoxsys in space and actually getting to catch Deoxsys is amazing.

I don't remember most of it, but the ending was nice. Epic battle between Rayquaza and Deoxys. Both were handled better than in the original game.

Yes.
When imagining an R/S/E remake in 2011/12, I thought of some post game story where you'd visit new areas and have some new antagonist who was revealed to be pulling the strings behind Team Magma and Aqua. Zinnia isn't antagonistic, but she was still behind the team's plans, so that comes close enough.
She has a great design, a great backstory, and a great theme as well.

The Delta Episode gives us the origin of Meteor Falls and the Sky Pillar, which I liked. I think a dragon tamer at the Falls in the original R/S/E mentioned the place having a connection with dragons, so it was cool that OR/AS paid attention to that and expanded on it.

I'm still very dissapointed in the lack of Emerald content that OR/AS had (especially when compared to HG/SS which had nearly all of Crystal's content with only a few exceptions), but they did at least... try to reference some Emerald events during the plot.

For example, you meet Steven in a room in Meteor Falls, you fight Team Magma (and Aqua) at the Mossdeep space center, and Steven tells you the Pokenav is working on some kind of phone device. The most obvious one is where you meet with Wallace by Sky Pillar and fight him with his champion team from Emerald. His quotes are even similar to those when you fought him as champion.

I liked the whole parallel dimension "confirmation."

Lastly, it references Birth Island from FR/LG (and Emerald, by extension) during the space battle with Deoxys.

I'd say the Delta episode was easily one of the best pre-SM main game Pokémon stories. I'll admit that it wasn't perfect, but for Pokémon standards it was great. Building lore for Hoenn, epic battle between Rayquaza and Deoxys... pretty good stuff.

My response:

I found it enjoyable for the fact that it gave Hoenn more post-game content. Zinnia was cool, and I liked how it expanded on the lore of certain characters. We learned more about Steven, his dad, and the Devon Corporation, and it even gave the lesser Team Admin more spotlight that was needed (Courtney in OR, Matt in AS). Also, that final battle with Deoxys was awesome.

I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to the Delta Episode appear in a future game. For the DP remakes, Giratina seems like a good candidate for that, and through this "Griseous Episode" (a name I came up with for a Delta Episode-like feature for Giratina), it could even expand on Team Galactic's and other important character's backstory. While I would prefer the Sinnoh remakes to incorporate more third-game elements this time around, I think a "Griseous Episode" would be pretty cool if handled properly. Perhaps in the BW remakes, we could even see a "Kyurem episode" where we are finally introduced to Kpyurem's Original Dragon form that we never got in the get 5 games for some strange reason, and it could even give us a proper plot to link what happened between BW and B2/W2.
