Well--there are certain warrants and legal gag orders people can get where they're not allowed to talk about things. Granted, it usually requires a special judge ruling or being part of the FBI (thanks, patriot act). There are other ways to silence people, and not even blackmail is required. Just threaten to press if they speak out. The reason why I think it's possible is that we've had some past cases where people have had stuff happen to them (Twitch streamers dropping Project M without saying why, except VGSC (?) confirmed like a month after tons dropped that Twitch was telling subbed people to stop). It's hard for me to think that it wouldn't go back up to Nintendo--it easily could, and with the need-to-know structure of corporations that's very likely. And even then, is it in people's interest to speak out even if they have good reason to think they'd not be attacked? You're right on the 'this could hurt our relationship' point, but that could easily be connected in the context of 'Nintendo contacted us with their concerns.' IMO the same thing happened with Project M: the key players of the back room of the back room were contacted and 'informed' about a few things from someone in the know. They got consultation and decided it was legit, so shut down.
Still, there's always a plausible deniability.

It surely stirs my stew all ways besides.

For Pit's sake, who makes a mandatory Legendary fight right after you win the League? The darn thing sudoku'd itself. I mean I only used, what, over 50 Luxury Balls and not one caught? BRB teaching my Lurantis False Swipe. . .and beating Kukui. . .again. . .at least I saved after the final E4 member. . .At least the one I'll need as my lead is the same one I now know I should lead against Kukui with. . .

As someone who's not the biggest Pokémon fan (heck, the game I put the most hours in is Pokémon Go), I love how dark some of the Pokédex entries can be. It makes the world of Pokémon all the more fascinating.

Incineroar is here and throwing the Darkest of all Lariats...Also encountered Passimian for the first time so now I know where to find it, and I just straight up passed him by since he's on the last island...So I went back to Lush Jungle and added King Julien on the squad...no surprise I missed it since I just moved on from Lush Jungle after completing Mallow's trial, when I should've stayed behind for a bit to catch Passimian, Fomantis and Morellul...
Passimian will make for a good temporary Fighting type until I get my hands on a certain scaly dragon later on...

And then my first Guzma encounter as I make my way back to Ula'Ula island...and the dude starts off with a frikkin Golisopod!! Catch this Continental Crush!!! No emergency exit for you!!!

Took a while, but I finally climbed up Mt. Coronet and got to Spear Pillar. Cyrus pushed me to my limits, especially since I was using a safari (Watching) for Defog and a second (ChocTurtle) for Rock Climb. I got actually kind of salty with Watching. It leveled up higher than Powthing, even if if was with an Exp. Share.


In the battle with Cyrus, it got down to his Weavile, while I had Anita and Powthing left. If I hadn't switched to Powthing before Anita to Intimidate Weavile, I probably would've lost the match. One of Weavile's Ice Punches froze Anita, and another one critted him, so I even had to use a Full Restore.


I caught Dialga using Cyrus' Master Ball. With that, it was time for Anita to leave the party. I went and caught him when I needed more Pokemon to use against Gardenia, and he actually came a long way, reaching level 40. But now I've got my third and fourth favorite Pokemon on my team.


Powthing finally evolved and learned Close Combat, replacing Aerial Ace. Childhood learned Earthquake to replace Magnitude, and Explosion to replace Selfdestruct.


I went on to battle Volkner. I honestly expected a lot more from him. Powthing lead off, but I switched to Childhood to take 's Thunder Wave. Childhood took Raichu out with an Earthquake.


Now his came out, who I battled with Infigrowth. Raichu had set up a Light Screen that helped against my Giga Drains and Shadow Balls, while Octillery kept sending out special moves. Infigrowth managed to survive its Aurora Beam, which I healed her from. When the Light Screen wore off, she was able get off more effective Giga Drains until Octillery fainted.


I switched to Cool Moves for Ambipom, who Baton Passed to Luxray. Luxray tanked Cool Moves' Jump Kick. I decided to play the same game, and Cool Moves Baton Passed to Awww Yeah. Luxray used a Thunder Wave and paralyzed it. It used Roar of Time and quickly defeated Luxray.


Lastly was Ambipom, who I went back to Powthing for. Powthing dealt a lot of damage with a Close Combat. Meanwhile, Ambipom just kept Nasty Plotting. Anticipating a Shock Wave, I went to Childhood as Volkner healed. I went for an Explosion and took Ambipom out.


That was my eighth badge. The gyms in this game are pretty underwhelming. Gardenia was the only one who actually gave me any sort of a challenge.

That was a real ******* move by Game Freak. I was happy Snorlax had Hold Back to prevent KO'ing it. Thankfully I got it after a few Ultra Balls (nearly got it with a Quick Ball). Sucks you had to reset but thankfully it was only once. Imagine having to reset multiple times. I'd hope maybe you could just rechallenge the League to have it reappear.
