Melee is not confirmed for VC. Nintendo has been very silent on VC for Switch and even launched the console without support for it.
Personally, I think it is unlikely due to some hardware limitations. Melee makes use of analog triggers which the Switch lacks. They could add support for the Wii U Gamecube adapter, but there are no USB on the Switch itself, only on the dock meaning it would be impossible to play in handheld/tabletop mode.
