Since the reveal of NFP figures for future Wii U and 3DS games i've been thinking, could the figures be used to transfer costumized characters from 3DS to Wii U or even have more playable characters? What do you think?

I see this as extremely likely, yet expensive. It would be nice if we could just save all of the movesets and such onto one SD card/Flash Drive for transporting to friends houses. (Buying seperate figurines for each character would add up in price) On the other hand, however, I would prefer it if they did this instead of having some characters be unlocked by buying figurines, which I find to be extremely dull, especially considering that the characters are already in the game, you shouldn't have to pay money to unlock them.1. Pick your favorite Figurine and buy it + the reading platform
2. Save your Tag, stats, customized movesets, costume preferences and custom stages on the Figurine
3. Take Figurine to friend's house or tournament, quickly input info
4. Smash
I think the figurine would be cosmetic/collectable/convenience only (IE just one will work for any info/characters)I see this as extremely likely, yet expensive. That is pretty much what they are doing though. I don't see the difference.I'd rather have Nintendo release Smash Bros 4 action figures.
Ones that can be moved and are fully articulated. Not the ones that are similar to Skylanders. That is pretty much what they are doing though. I don't see the difference.
Ah, I see what you mean now. Thanks for the clarification.Ones that can be moved and are fully articulated. Not the ones that are similar to Skylanders.
I also mean that Nintendo should release a SSB4 Action Figure Series set.
No problem.Ah, I see what you mean now. Thanks for the clarification.
Nintendo Figurine Platform. Search it on Google! What does NFP mean?
I'd be perfectly fine with that, personally, as long as the starting roster was a decent size, and no veterans were initially that category. I fully support any means of adding characters to the game after release because I want the biggest roster possible. As long as they don't lock secret or new characters behind those NFP shenanigans, I wouldn't mind.
But I wouldn't. If I am paying for the game, I want all the content developed for it. Plus, I hate toys, I don't want to buy them just to have more characters in the game. I would be fine with DLC on the vein of the ones Capcom make for Street Fighter 4. Like, two or three more characters released a few months or a year after the release. But toys? No thank you.I'd be perfectly fine with that, personally, as long as the starting roster was a decent size, and no veterans were initially that category. I understand that plenty of Smash fans (including myself) may struggle with the financial side of such technology, but hey, maybe they just choose between adding characters to Smash or buying certain other games. I know which one I'll be choosing if it comes to that.
Eh... They announced an adapter for NFP to work on the 3DS.Only the Wii U version could have it... the 3DS can't do NFC wirelessly without some sort of thing connecting to it wired (like the Skylanders portal).
Articles? That means absolutely nothing. I am okay if it will be only for the Wii U, since that would mean they will not release new characters via NFP (unless they would release them via NFP for the Wii U and via eShop for the 3DS).Still, all of the articles I've seen about it say the Smash Bros figurines will only be for the Wii U version.
