Yeah, it's either going to be a veteran reveal to co-relate with one of the games being talked about (ALBW, Kirby 3DS, Pokémon) like we've seen in the past, or it's going to be nothing at all. Still not expecting Smash to take some of the spotlight in Directs until 2014.

I actually think that this boosts her chances for being in Super Smash Bros - this is her third (fourth?) appearance, and she is now actually playable in a non-spinoff Mario game!

That will be her 5 or 6th appearance. She also appeared in Galaxy, Galaxy 2, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 7 and is going to appear in Mario Party Island Tour which releases the same day as 3D World.

I wasn't too crazy over the Nintendo Direct. I was happy to see more Super Mario 3D World stuff, but I felt as though the Nintendo Direct itself was just "meh". I also had a feeling that we wouldn't get SSB4 stuff.

I partially agree with you. I dont think it was "meh", but it was not the best thing ever too. The only good things were the A Link Between Worlds trailer and Super Mario 3D World trailer. Aside from that... not that exciting. (I almost jumped around my room and shouted "YES!" when Rosalina was shown to be playable however.)

Rosalina's playable inclusion in 3D World was quite surprising, since I was more thinking about Yoshi or Wario being implemented instead. At this point though, it appears that Bowser Jr. won't be helping out Bowser this time.

I think that's strange. Boom-Boom, Pom-Pom and Kamek are here but the main helpers to Bowser, Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings aren't there.

There are generic Magikoopas as well, so Kamek might not be involved either, much like in Super Mario 3D Land.

Same. I expected the fifth character to be either Yoshi or Wario. In fact, I'm very surprised that Yoshi and Bowser Jr. aren't in this game!
It looks like you have to collect every Green Star to play as Rosalina… or that's how I see it since the footage shows her with all of the Green Stars being solid in the HUD.
