Hello, everyone in the Smash64 community. My name is Ceasar. As a child, I used to play Smash64 (which is, without a doubt, one of my most favorite games), but after my parent gave away my N64 to relatives, I haven't played it since then. Now, I've recently started playing Smash64 competitively, and I find so much suspense and joy from being able to play it again after so many years. I use Mario as my most favorable and main character. :)

I heard of an event called Apex, which is currently new to me. But, I'm very interested and excited about attending Apex 2013 to meet and interact with many, if not, all of the top Smash players, particularly Smash64 players. I look forward to actually competing in the Smash64 tournament, when I'm able to register. Despite that, I know very well that I'm definitely not the best player in the world, as I have seen many videos of top players like Isai and Nintendude1189 show extraordinary gameplay I've never even witnessed before. I still have much to learn. But, I am training as hard as I can to be the best Mario player in the world! As a Smasher, it is my dream to become that Mario player, and I believe Apex 2013 will be a great start for that journey!

It's an honor to have joined Smashboards, and I really look forward to joining the Smash64 family and knowing each of you more. Nice to meet you! :)

That is the most honest first post I've seen for quite a while and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

If your next post puts Ness in the same sentence as any adjective with even remotely-positive connotations I am going to find and beat up a kitten.

I think Ness is the master of shield-breaking. His u-tilt is one of the best in the game, along with his d-air, but his recovery seems very predictable. I generally have a hard time playing against Ness, so I think he's generally a great character, when used well.

I think Ness and Yoshi have exactly even shield breaking ability. What would give one an advantage over the other?

I am a Ness main so I might be biased, but I think the Ness timing is easier because it is just as fast as possible, whereas Yoshi has more room for error.

@Han Solo: Sounds great! :)

@mikeduncan23: Thanks a lot, and you, too! My favorite KO with Mario is his Tornado Spike.

straight to the most important point

seriously Ceasar you are doing it all wrong. you are supposed to come on and post about how you are way better than all of us and how wrong we are about the characters. I suggest you make a new account and try again.

Welcome Ceasar! Nice intro! I was going to make an thread introducing myself too but mine story is almost same as yours

I used to play when I was younger but never had an N64, always played on PJ64.

Also I played with some friends (great times), I was the best player between them but now I just watched some gameplay videos here and I can see that I'm not even on top 1000 players LOL

I mean if there're 115 at japanese tournaments 200 might be overly generous

And he doesn't necessarily play competitively, there are some (relatively) good casuals out there

JUST SAYIN'
