Next to be announced?

Which Smash veteran do you guys hope/think will be announced next? I think Yoshi will be announced next simply because he is one of the original 12. Any ideas?

I know it's silly to doubt his return, but you know come confirmation will be nice.

It might still be Ness/Lucas on Monday given that the announcement of Earthbound for North America/Europe was a surprise and wasn't officially announced until like 2 in the morning Friday morning Japan time. Given the amount of content of Olimar's reveal, it seems there's a lot more thought put into character reveals and they are something couldn't be done in a single lunch break unless the update photos are prepared in advance.

I don't quite think it would be reliable to base reveal predictions on Brawl's reveals. It would probably be more reliable to base them on up and coming release dates.
Which isn't reliable in itself, it's just based on a small pattern people have noticed regarding Olimar's and Villager's reveals being close to release dates of new games of their respective franchises.

It's hard to say but you could be thinking a bit.
Yoshi is very likley I guess.
But so is a Mother/Earthbound character too (Ness/Lucas)
also if there should by any chance be a second F-Zero character in this one, I guess C-Falcon must be revealed rather soon...
Some even say it will be Luigi because of his upcoming game.
Also we can think about the new rumour that it could be a Pokemon character.

But in all honesty, there is no one really knowing this, so we just got to wait and see

I want it to be Ness, but I doubt Sakurai cares much about Earthbound's international release when they've had Mother 2 for quite some time in Japan now, even if it'd be a great way for Nintendo to advertise Earthbound and give it success if they contacted Sakurai about it. But hey, Ness might aswell be unlockable again for all we know.

In any case, I'm guessing Yoshi, Pokémon Trainer, Wario or Zelda. For newcomer I'll as always guess Little Mac, maybe Palutena.

I personally highly doubt this. The reason is because of the international release of X and Y just two months later. Which is a better type to announce a Pokemon to generate hype? Near the international release of X and Y of course. I mean how often do we get something as epic as a game coming out everywhere on the same day? Sure they could do both, but would the really announce a Pokemon rep and then another one 2 months later? I am inclined to doubt it.

I'm gonna guess Ness, because I'm super hyped about Earthbound right now. I can't believe I never played this game before.
I really wanna see how the more detailed characters like Marth, Ganon, Peach and (hopefully) Snake look like on the Wii U.

If we get a Direct soon, I'm guessing the next character will be a newcomer, with good chances towards Little Mac I'd say. If we slip into like next month or something and still no Direct, I'd say chances are it'd be a veteran... probably Yoshi, maybe Peach though (if Peach is going to be used for promotion like Olimar was, then she probably won't get revealed until like October or whenever SM3DW is coming out - though my guess is if we get one character per month, October will be Diddy due to DKCTF).

In any case, I'm guessing newcomers will be saved for Directs or other events while veterans will happen in the interim.

Remove the phrase "that I care about" and I agree. Most of the new commers to Brawl didn't exactly rustle my jimmies, but I was still excited. Perfect examples are Ike and PT.

Well technically Japan has gotten two Directs this month alone (the mini-one and Pikmin one), so I don't think it'd be too unrealistic or anything if we happened to get a (full-fludged) Direct next month. Though I could also see them waiting until September, but I think that's probably the latest a possible new Direct will happen. Either way, I totally agree, them focusing on a veteran in a Direct probably won't happen (though that's what they did for the second Brawl trailer with Fox), I just meant we'll probably get a newcomer in a Direct as opposed to just a trailer restating what we already know or no trailer at all. Veterans at most will probably be used for promotion like Olimar, but the majority of them likely will be revealed when Sakurai just doesn't have a newcomer to reveal atm but wants to keep the hype elevated.

From the sounds of things I don't think we'll get any newcomers this year because when Sakurai talked about it in an interview, he was debating on giving every newcomer their own trailer and was leaning more towards making it happen than not. With that being said, it sounds like no other newcomer trailer has been done yet because they supposedly take a long time to make. I'd be perfectly fine with that though because the Brawl DOJO had nothing but veterans for the first 2 1/2 months it was open.

I think this likly to be another newcomer but if its a veteran it's between yoshi or meta knight ofcoarse a dream If sakurai is keeping it a secret of witch characters are unlock able or not if that's true I hope ROB gets announced ( I think megaman is going to unlocked first to play as him because sonic and snake had to be unlocked and they got announced anyway)
