You: ??? Legendary Stone?
Kenji: It's supposely a source of incredible power...and we have no idea what it does...
W4M: We still need to recover it, though...

Out of the distance, a loud roar fades in. It appears to be the sound of a motorcycle...

Everyone: ???
*Wes arrives on the scene*
Wes: Hey, have you guys seen some freaks in wierd suits...?
chubb: They went that way. *points in direction of Lonor Town*
Wes: Kthx *Gets back on bike*
You: I'll come with you.

Forgot Pluxie was part Grass...

What about this:

Nrm/Fly, Psy/Drk, Gho, (Grs/Elc, Fir/Grd, Wtr/Ice), ???

Having Pluxie no matter what would conflict with the possibility of the protagonist choosing the Water starter, which forces the Rival to choose the Grass starter...


So, you have a choice: the Rival, or the guy who follows you around and fights whenever like Wally.


In case of the latter, you can have:

Alamaestro, Torkano, Darctate, Vesgore/Scizor, Pluxie, Juyotatsu.

Gho, Fir/Grd, Psy/Drk, Bug/Stl, Grs/Elc, Drg/Fly

I don't think we should do that. Type-themed teams ususally have 1 or 2 common weaknesses that murder the entire team.
