Hey, I finally got some more Falcon vids up. With Pound 2 coming up, I'd definitely like some help on my Falcon. He's my secondary, but not necessarily my second-best, and I'd like to change that. Let me know what I'm doing wrong/right and what I should be doing.

Thanks a lot.

I'm not a very good Falcon myself but you have a nice edge tech. i think working on your mind games would make you a lot better. im working on mine as well  .. maybe throwing in variety of your recoveries would be good too. I noticed that you did change it up a little bit but more variety would be better.

P.S your captain falcon is a lot better than mine, so if i mislead you..sorry!:)

well i noticed that almost every single time you tried to recover, you do a walljump to up b, I'm not saying its bad, just realllllly predictable. Also you flubbed some l cancels on your dairs that i saw, you should work on that. btw nice combo to start out with on match two

I agree with the wall jump recovery; it did get very predictable, at least in the earlier matches.

While I am by no means a good very good Falcon, I am an exceptional Marth and will say that the best strategy against Marth is to constantly tech chase him and get him above you (where his f air isn't nearly as deadly). You did have some nice tech chase stomps, but they were too far between. When you are beneath a platform on Dreamland 64, if Marth is at medium to high damage, up throw him onto one of the lower ledges and then jump->u air-> u air/f air. Even if it doesn't kill him, Marth has very little recovery in the air returning to the stage. You can trick him into using his second jump with a short or full hop and then b air him of.

Essentially, tech chase and keep him above you, which means use more u airs.

Best of luck.

Yeah, i noticed that too. His timing is much different than Fox's when you hit, and that really throws me off. Sometimes I'll miss the fast fall or even the l-cancel. I think that will come with more practicing, though, seeing as I'm very consistent with Fox. I just need to start playing him a lot more.

I hadn't noticed I did the wall-jump recovery so much, but J122 actually did mention it to me, saying things such as "I called that wall jump". I'll definitely have to switch that up, so thanks for reminding me. Recovery is definitely one of the things i need to practice (sweetspotting, switching it up), so I'll work on that.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the help. I'll try and get some more vids up before Pound 2 to fine-tune my Falcon. I'll work on everything you guys mentioned.
