Newcomer to Melee - Where to Start?

Hi all!

My name is Sam, but my tag is "Stratosphere." I have been a Smash 4 player for awhile and I've attended several majors, but I've never involved myself in any discussions/forums. I have always been a spectator of Melee, but I recently started playing Melee, and would really like to know: where do you suggest starting with Melee if you have already been a player of other smash games? I like to think I have good fundamentals, but I guess it might change since Melee is its own beast. Can you refer to me to any good guides on characters (I main Falcon), and where I can start in terms of tech skill and practice? Looking forward to learning and playing more Melee!
