A reddit will be coming soon but I have been busy thinking about making a console to managed the list.

I've seen some really great stock icons for newcomers in Ultimate's minimalist style. I haven't seen a thread for them yet so I wanted to create a collection of them. If you've created any post them here! If you've seen any great ones ask the creator to post them here! Make some! I'll try to make some of my own, but we'll see how they turn out lol.

This section will contain a comparison of characters who were revealed for smash and the fan-made stock icons posted here.This is all for fun, and definitely very interesting!

All pretty similar! Honestly the colors on the actual seem a little off? Maybe because I'm just used to Splat's in my signature! Here's hoping there's an alt similar to the version KMDP did! Unfortunately no one made any icons for Richter...
Once again congrats and great job Splat and KMDP!

Almost identical! Granted, not a very complex icon, but Splat did a great job, even down to the cuts in Chrom's bangs! Honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Congrats!

vs.

Both made by Splat, with the first being a "dark" version of Samus' icon, and the second more closely following the source material. In the end the actual icon would end up being much sharper on the edges and more defined. Great job Splat, and I appreciate the options!

I've seen this around the boards a lot already, but I think King K. Rool would have benefited from a side facing icon like Ridley. Apparently two of our artists thought so too! Well congrats to KMDP for getting the direction right, but great work on your side facing icons Splat and Mario&Sonic Guy respectively!

Not even a contest in my opinion. I'm starting to wonder if our artists are spoiling us...this icon from Splat is way better than the official! I've heard this from multiple users on the site, so great job Splat! Now I did see him bragging about having made an icon for each of the unique newcomers so far, and most of the echoes, but I think he's getting cocky

. We'll see!

Gotta say I'm a fan on Ultimate's version. KDMP offered a less symmetrical, more in action icon, where as Zieghost's is very close to Ultimate's. Apparently the game designers wanted to emphasize Ken's eyebrows lol. axel_ created a big boy, sorry I didn't have a smaller icon for comparison! I honestly don't know much about the Street Fighter series, so maybe each of our artists based their icons off of different games Ken has been in? Thankfully no one did a banana head Ken

I've seen one post that described the Ultimate icon as a combination of Pakky's and Splat's and I couldn't agree more! I can't believe how spot on Splat's turned out to be, and I gotta admit I prefer Pakky's grin than just the single tooth of the official icon. Great job you two!

Lies! Apparently we have stock icons for Pokemon Trainer's individual Pokemon as well (Thanks for pointing out splat!)

Alright I only have a large picture so bear with me -

All from NeonBurrito who did a great job. He actually made two Squirtles, one which was just a nice blue blob

but I've included the icon with the mouth which isn't too different than the official. While I do like the added detail of the official game's Ivysaur icon, I prefer NeonBurrito's Charizard focusing more on the face and with the teeth...opposed to Ultimate's strange Charizard with a neck lol. Overally great work NeonBurrito, thanks!

An early congrats to theses fellows, waiting to see who gets closer to the official representation. Shout out to all the Persona fans!
Well Now that he's out and the icon is available I have to say you boys did fine work. I apricate KMDP's detail, the collar was a very good choice and one that I think should have made it. Though DusterBuster's simplicity did end up hitting a little closer to the final result.

That's awesome! Welcome!

They've actually made it alot easier to upload images with the site update, you should be able to upload them directly. If not, I used to use imgur, but you shouldn't have to anymore.

So when you go to post you should be able to click insert image and then where it says drop image just click that and you should be able to upload directly. This is all obviosuly if you're using desktop, but it works well on mobile too!

If you have more questions we might need someone a little more savvy to assist lol.

I think you need to have posted at least 10 times or so before you can share images. Perhaps post around and interact with the community for a bit and then come back to share your work (Just don't spam or double post or else you'll get into trouble)

That said, would someone be willing to isolate the Geno character icon? I'd love to include it in my signature with my other hopes for Smash Ultimate.

These look great! I saw yours in the general thread, and it inspired me to try my hand for my #1 most hype character.

Tip for everyone who's not too good at making icons - the smashbros.com official website actually has large icons (200x200) if you want to rip them for yourself. I based this on Ike.

Yeah, I'm using those as a basis for mine; albeit only in terms of the 200x200 scale.

Finally got around to updating the first post. These look great everyone!

I think I wanna add something to the first post saying that it's alright to use these in sig's and such as long as the artist is credited, this way moving foward it's established. Is that okay with everyone? If it's not we can do it on a person to person basis.

I just want to make sure you all get credited for this awesome work!

This is actually fun! I'll see how much longer I can do these since I don't play with photoshop much, but here's another one of my favorite characters. I plan o making the other 3 champions soon.

Also small sizes of my two to match the size of the other icons:

Oh my God that Urbosa is beautiful!!!! I didn't think I was gunna add my personal wants in my signature but I might have to now with that amazing icon.
