Newbie looking to start playing competitively

Hello fellow Smashers,

I've been playing Smash since the 64 era and consider myself to be pretty decent - out of most people I have played anyway. So... Ultimate... Yeah, looks awesome! Can't wait to start smashing skulls, but am curious how to find tournaments and so forth. Is there a universal ranking platform? I live in Duluth, MN now and wouldn't mind traveling for some events.

I'm looking for a little direction in how to find events near me, and how to get invited to tournaments.

I'd appreciate any and all advice.

you don't need to be invited to tournaments! just show up. here's the duluth smash facebook group. i'm sure the people there will help you out.
