We seriously need one. This state lacks it.

I'm gonna keep this simple. I will need your tournament placings from tournaments. (doubles don't count) Name of the tournament and what you placed. I will have a list with peoples names and tourmament placings.

And this is how we decided in the state of N.Y who is ranked. its been a year of brawl so I think we seriously need something by now. This thread can also be used to talk and rankings and etc. No BS please. This is to make a legit list. I'll start it off.

This will take time But for some people, I am sure they have tournament matches of themself. So I will have to contsruct a play list tat leads to theses players tournament matches. MM count aswell. Friendlies will not go up. idk ifyou did some crazy ****. Tournaments and MM is what will go up. To show people just how N.Y is.

I'll start it off and i will look like this:

Now I would need your tournament results. This post will be updated when more post on this. The next post I will reserve fo tournament placings. That is where I will post all results I got from players just to keep things legit and there are no mistakes.

ummm.... what matters is who u beat and lost to. bracket **** can happen. look at andyg at cot4. he got 17th despite being able to beat tons of ppl above him. he lost only to the ppl who got 2nd and 3rd place in the tourney.

There was rankings that were stated up by someone in this state but that person just has not been around.

thats what happened in ct >_<. guy who makes the rankings moved away. and no one did anything. we managed to get melee rankings up a few weeks ago though. we did make brawl ones yet though.

i think NY needs one too but thats not really how it works one person can't just create ranking from so much information. it's never really worked like that. a couple of panelists who are respected and eligible to judge work together and agree on it.

Alright, first off, you can't just have people post tourney placings from who knows when to present. You need a date. I'd highly suggest from December to now since before that doesn't matter much for present rankings.

2nd, rankings should be about who beat who as Chibo said. Placings don't say much. I also don't think people will post their stuff. It can't be too hard so I suggest finding brackets from tournies from the past 2 to 3 months and evaluate stuff from there.

Well I am gonna have people Help out with this. Gonna talk to D1.
I would have people place thier results with links of the thread showing it. Or else it does not count, cause people can BS it.

Also for the earliest results. I was thinking around the time the first EC reginoal was. Or the second. We gonna have to debate on this and the number of votes is what we will use.

So lets start with what is the earliest month we can use results from.

Then once we get a good number of results from players, we will decided and talk about who should be over who and etc.

Bums results I know can be easily found, he only pays in N.Y. Maybe like 2 times he went to N.J

People to get results from and put on the list auto are:

Bum
D1
NL
Snakeee
Shadow

Thats about all I know off the top of my head. These are pretty much the players that rank well in N.Y and out of it. Andone else would be like second choices. But we need those results.

In all honesty, two things have to happen before this is a possibility:

- NY has to express a desire for a rankings list.
- The ranked players have to want to be ranked (Well, in my opinion. Inui doesn't feel that way).

Another issue is that NY is more than just NYC. NY includes them upstate folks, but for all intent and purposes you guys are two completely separate entities.

Essentially pools between top players. Everybody plays everybody.

i think nyc kind of includes LI because they are so close and constantly compete in the same tournaments. The only time that doesn't happen is small bull**** tournaments locally, whereas upstate is almost never involved in either of the 2 scenes. Also LI isn't big enough to justify its own ranking yet is close enough to nyc to the point where when there is a decent size tourney in either of the two places, the players from the other side go to it.

In other words, LI is part of NYC as far as rankings go.

Ok then. We can start with adding LI to NYC.

Next thing we have to decide is what moth we can collect resultts from.

We can do this 2 ways:

- Use results from last year and work it up till now. But gotta decide from what moth we start from

- We start fresh this year and rack up data from january and work are way up (though by doing this, the process for making a list will take more time.)

When i first started my melee career in may of 2006. I would use the green Peach. Green is my favorite color. Then after a while, around Feb or March of 2007. I decided to use the daisy dress in melee cause of my name "Dark.Pch" Her skin done got Darker. So I decided to use it as my offical color sense with would look more fitting with my name.

In Brawl I was a bit sad. Her skin color stays the same. If Ihave any complaints about how Peach is in brawl, it would not be about her nerfs or any of that stuff. My complaint would be that her skin color is not darker using the daisy dress. But since I am already known by that color, I decided to just go and keep using this color dress I am known by as my trademark. And Also my advatar/profile pic is the same thing. Its Striker Peach but I had it made like if it was the melee Peach in the daisy suit. Thus giving it a good name and Reason to call me "Dark.Pch"

So yea, my name is just fine. And this is rankings for New York City and Long Island. New York City and N.Y are different.
New York City is metro New York dealing with the 5 boroughs. And Just plain New York would refer to upstate New York like Near buffalo and canada.
