New York as a crew?

This is me just thinkin out loud, but I think states like MD and VA have a great idea in that they are planning 10 on 10 crew battles with each other. While this would call for not only an updated power rankings, but a consolidated update mixing NYC, LI and the rest of new york, I think it would be a great way to represent NY smash as a whole. It would take some work, and a few more tourneys or gauntlets to see where everyone fits, but I think it would be a nice project to look into this summer.

Another idea I had was even battling between NYC/LI and the rest of ny. This could be for fun or even to figure out the statewide top 10 and alternates, but thats just a thought.

I don't see how this would be a bad idea, the only problem would be is getting the players together for the event. I mean, I'm all for it, if we can find a way to organize it and get it done.

Well, Alex (LightxDream on Smash boards) announced that the next "Zenith" is expected to be held sometime in August. No full details yet. But if you guys want to have a state crew battle, this would be a great time to find the top 10. I'll bring this to his attention

yea i had the same idea for a while. the next Zenith will be september 14,15 and 16. maybe it can be done there being thats its a 3 day event. i'll keep ya updated incase our tourny dates change and shlt.

I say we do a 15 on 15 Vs MD/VA with each having 5 alternates the top from each part of NY play at like Pound 2 if all can go. Also if the battle is taking place in NYC we still gotta get MD/VA up here.

A 3 day Zenith Event? Woah, if it's going to be so long, why is it not during the summer? September isn't going to be that great of a time for a lengthy tournament, as opposed to August or July.
