New type of B specials

What if instead of removing Mario's cape or creating arial B moves, they added another "direction". One most fighting game players would be familiar with. Yes I am talking about the ummm...."slidy" quarter turn. As in slide the direction from down to forward etc, a la Hadouken. I seriously doubt they'd do it but if they were to how would you react? Personally I think it would be making the game too complicated but it could work.

well i think mario has two down specials the fludd and marios tornado but if u want to use the fludd u should hold down special but for his tornado u shouldent hold it might be the other way around too.

I really think people need to read Sakurai's quote's more carefully...like this one for instance.

It's Mario's A move not B.

it would make sense if Mario Tornado was an aerial down-b move because we've seen it in the movie, we have also seen Mario's dair move so i must be right...and I'm sure you cannot use fludd on air because the pic shows Mario leaning to keep his center of gravity....well i think i am right

We haven't seen his Dair, the tornado is his new Dair, deal with it.

Yes, wehave seen his dair, which is the Mario Tornado.(I'm agreeing) I noticed in the tralier, that he uses it in the air, so it's hasto be an aerial move, and after he finishes the Tornado, there is no lag. Remember in melee if you used it in the air, you sorttadid a backflip down wards after the move was finished?

On Smash Bros. Dojo -> How to Play -> Techniques -> Standard Combos or http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/howto/technique/technique02.html, it says that you can hold on A to do a attack or repeatedly press A so... maybe Fludd is hold on down + B and the original old mario spinning Down B is now executed by holding on Down + repeatedly pressing B B B... This would be cool because then many other new attacks can be added to everyones A and B movesets without removing the old ones. Who ever said Luigi vacuum <- thats a cool idea

I absolutely hate the guys who come into my store and talk about their Tekken and SF tournies...after that all I hear is "Quarter-Circle Back and Full-Circle Down B" stuff...it's mind-boggling.

Let's just stick with shffl-nairs and uthrow to uair.

B attack in mid air that are different have always been a variation of the same move, why people think it could be different this time is beyond me.

It's because they can't grasp the fact that Sakurai told them that only 4 special moves are going to be for each character.
