What's up smash boards? I've been smashing for a couple months now and decided that I should probably start contributing to the community. I've gone to a couple xanadu's and other MD/VA tournaments and I plan to start going to the thanks for playing weeklies. I play project m and main pit, but I've been trying to work on wolf lately. I also play a lot of dota when I'm not programming.

Yea, definitely a good area. I'm going to cornell next year for college though, and while it's a great school, the smash scene is a bit lacking.

Out in Ithaca, NY right? Yeah, there isn't much of a scene. There's a SSBM Facebook social for it, but it's pretty inactive. Maybe you can end up finding some people around though and bring some life into the community there. Ha, could be wishful thinking, but worth a shot if you really want to play.

There is a cornell smash group, I'm hoping to get active in there once I actually make the move. It seems like the closest "real scene" is in syracuse, which is about an hour drive. Maybe I can make something work though, that would be really cool

Sounds pretty solid. Could work with the Cornell Smash group for practice and then make that drive over to Syracuse on occasions for more exposure and tournament play. I'm sure all will be fine.
