Why I joined Smashboards:
To be honest, I'd already heard of Smashboards for a long while, but I only just now decided to join up. I've been a long time follower and spectator of the Melee scene, but only recently have I decided that I wanted to take my metagame more seriously. I always play casually but I really want to improve my gameplay and eventually compete in tournaments.
I've never been to a tournament, but I would love to attend one someday. However, given my current situation I don't think that would be possible in the nearest future since the Melee scene in my country is so scarce it's practically dead.
I preside in the Philippines just to give you guys an idea of how distant I am from all the real action.
Finally I want to leave you all with a quick question. Does Mario's uair in Melee need to be l-canceled? The landing frames are almost unnoticeable for me that I question if it even needs to be lag reduced. I play with a CRT.
