I'm having trouble with two things, and they're both combo related. This is my first week back into smash since 64 which I never took too seriously. I've played a few games such as CS tournament wise since and fighting games haven't been my forte, yet I have the time to get better now. I've been practicing on level 9 comps just to get pivot grabs, short hop nairs and fairs down, and other basic tech skills that probably all of you have.
1) Every time I uthrow a comp it seems to be able to air dodge in anticipation of my uair, unlike most of the videos I've been watching against real players. I'm guessing it's just my timing but it has really been only working on fatties such as bowser, dk, etc.
2) when combo'ing fairs on the ground is it best to fthrow into it to start? I was reading a thread on fthrow into bf but that seems entirely read related and based on the player's DI. Also, when chaining fairs are they all after the shortest of short hops?
Sorry if these seem stupid, but would appreciate any help. If anyone is looking for a training partner you can add me on ha7wirebrewsky
