I just graduated college and moved out here with my girlfriend, we're in Lafayette right now, looking at condo's in Concord. Basically, I'm looking for people in the area to hang out and play with, go to Tourneys with, etc, since I've left everyone I knew back in PA, and have no feel for the scene in North Cal.

That's cool man, Concord is the best place for melee in the bay area.

you got dbr, cubaisdeath, Hostility, and Lucien just on the tip of Walnut creek.and more including antioch just a little ways off

Are you talking about Melee or brawl?
How long have you been playing and do you know how to L cancel and wavedash?
PA has some amazing smashers, I'm sure you know scar(who lives in the bay now) and cactuar.

either way welcome ! Come to this weekends tournament if possible . If not ill make a post here next time I decide to smash at my place.

I'm going to try and make it, just got down here yesterday so things are still a bit hectic. I've been playing Smash since it came out, so I do play both.

I understand it's a basic question to assess nubhood, but is there anyone who doesn't know how to L cancel or wavedash at this point?

I've been out of the loop for quite a while, I went to college in Florida, and there's not many good players down there, anyone I knew that was decent came from out of state, so I'm a bit rusty, but it never takes long to get back the muscle memory.

I met a lot more people with more skill in the North East than I ever found in the South East, but maybe it was just my experience.
