New vids up. : D
My god, were these matches intense to watch. Really gave me some tips against my friend who loves maining Snake.

Tch, the imbalance really becomes apparent here: Sonic had to work hard to rack up the damage, and several of his smashes didn't finish his opponent. Snake, on the other hand just has to land a AAA combo for RIDICULOUS knockback. I still think Nintendo is giving Sega the finger by making Sonic a poor character. -_-; Why did they give so much love for Snake and so little for the Blue Blur...

lol yah, that was pretty intense.

Vid 1 looked like Sonic got a bit too cocky, lotsa taunting. I was thinking "haha he got this guy pretty bad, he can do this forever-" and then he got killed by a Fsmash -__-; lol
Also looked like he was misjudging U-throw+spring setups: it's ~130% to side-air vs Snake, ~140 to u-air (though, since he DI's sideways, probably would work better if he was higher %).

Alot of his moves were overused, and it screwed his knockback and damage alot, and there was alot of misjudgement on when the smashes were going to kill ._.;

My point still holds though, concerning Sonic as a character. Sonic has to repeatedly pummel his opponent, weakening his moves and thereby seriously decreasing his ability to kill.

People like Snake, on the other hand, are blessed with imbalanced damage and knockback. Everybody knows how far Snake's AAA combo launches opponents. And let's not EVEN get into Snake's tilts. >_<;

*grumbles at unfairness*

Maybe play aware of/around it, then.

I'll make adjustments assuming a Snake in this example:

I personally like using B-air/Fsmash/Dsmash/D-air(gimp/KO)/F-air (gimp/KO) to kill people.
I know that:
-B-air from the center of the level is a 130% kill for snake.
-Dsmash, a 130-140% kill.
-F-smash, a 120% kill, uncharged.

I don't like relying on U-air to kill since it's easy to predict/dodge, but if the placement is right, I'll go for it.

This means that I'm free to use every move except for B-air, F-smash, and D-smash liberally, since I use F/D-air more as gimp kills. I'll use F/U/N/D-air as much as I want to rack up damage, but when he gets to the critical damage, maybe I'll spam the kill moves, since I can be sure of its perfect knockback when I need it to.

Either way, I'll stand by my opinion on it, and also play Sonic's strength off-stage, since he's a gimpbeast.

That Snake player was pretty good and fighting a Snake is a tough match up. Don't take anything I say in a bad way because your not bad and I don't want to seem like I'm coming off harshly. The areas you can improve on is your edgeguarding (you didn't pursue him while he was off the level). Also, you have to pressure him more....you did a good job by moving around alot but alot of times you weren't pressuring him enough. You should learn a few new approaches...like spinshotting, spin dash canceling, you know mix that up alittle because he was evading your spin dashes alot. Implement more B-Airs into your game it'll help alot with damage/kills. One last thing, stop being so predictable on your recoveries...in the second match he was punishing you alot when you were landing after using Up-B, mix that up alittle also.
