It appears that a new Smash Bros. game will be revealed during a presentation that will reveal Nintendo’s next console in July, according to Nate, a.k.a., shinobi602. According to shinobi602 himself, in a post in the forums known as ResetEra, he said the following about the presentation that will reveal the new console Nintendo is said to be working on.

“The next Nintendo console shall be revealed in July. I can assure you all that there will be a lot of new and exciting games to be seen that will be released on the console. Have a smashing good time!”

Nate, under his online alias, has leaked many things before for many games, not just Smash Bros. One time in particular, though, he hinted at the third character for Fighters Pass 1 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 2019, which would turn out to be the duo characters, Banjo and Kazooie from Banjo-Kazooie. He used the words, “Have a smashing good time” to hint at the duo from Rare, a duo who were once on Nintendo consoles before Microsoft brought out Rare long ago, although the original Banjo-Kazooie was released on the Nintendo Switch’s Nintendo Switch Online feature on January 20th, 2022.

It is not yet known if the new Smash Bros. game will be released on launch day or at a time later from the release date of the Nintendo Switch, nor is it known if the game will be all new or if it will be a port of the previous Smash Bros. game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is also unknown if “Everyone is Here” will be done again for the new Smash Bros. game, though many think it is unlikely.

The original Super Smash Brothers game was released for the Nintendo 64 in January 21, 1999, and it has been a big success for Nintendo. It has led to four sequels following the initial games release. All five Smash Bros, games were developed by Masahiro Sakurai, who worked on the first two games before leaving Nintendo and HAL Laboratory to form his own company, Sora Ltd. The series itself has gained many fans around the world, both casual and competitive players.

If this leak turns out to be true, this could excite a lot of fans of the series. There was speculation and anticipation on what the new Smash Bros. game could be like as well as what characters, returning and new, could be in this new game, but with a potential Super Smash Bros. game possibly being revealed along the new Nintendo console, which is believed to be coming out early next year, speculation could really start getting wild among Smash Bros. players.

We will keep you updated on this if we come across any more news on this.
