ok so ive been doing some research and tests online with my team. ive been building several pokemon replacing in with another trying to see how they would work. i have built another team, this time for singles so it'll be easier to understand. heres my current team with some other pokemon i would like to add to it, but dont know what to do:

Starmie (Cometor)
Timid
Natural Cure
252 Spatk, 4 Spdef, 252 Spd
Life Orb

Psychic
Surf
Recover
Thunderbolt

obviously my special sweeper, stamie is my favorite water type. with high speed and great special attack, especially with life orb's boost, starmie is extremely useful. i would rather not replace it with any other pokemon.

Togekiss (Aeros)
Calm
Serene Grace
252 HP, 4 Def, 252 Spdef
Leftovers

Air Slash
Roost
Substitute
Thunder Wave

one of my favorite flying types, i want to use this togekiss for annoyance. 1st i plan to use thunder wave and then substitute. with leftovers and roost ill recover hp easy while i use air slash and thunder wave combined, thanks to togekiss's serene grace. although i get the feeling that the EVS are off. any suggestions are gladly welcomed on this set.

Swampert (Swamper)
Careful
Torrent
252 HP, 4 Def, 252 Spdef
Chesto berry/Lum Berry

Avalanche
Rest
Curse
Earthquake

my physical wall, swampert wont be sweeping anytime soon unless scizor provides it with swords dance. the point of swampert is to buff up, them sweep up. he should be useful especially againt dragon types if they dare to attack him. overall hes good and will be better once he gets an attack boost up.

Salamence (Dreygon)
Adamant
Intimidate
252 Atk, 4 Spdef, 252 Spd
Focus Sash

Dragon Claw
Fire Fang
Earthquake
Dragon Dance

One of my favorite dragons and a powerful sweeper, salamence will be a very useful sweeper. after one dragon dance, itll be hard to stop him. and if he gets a swords dance boost from scizor, itll be even more difficult to stop him especially since hes holding focus sash.

Scizor (Piercer)
Adamant
Technician
252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Spdef
Occa Berry

Bullet Punch
Roost
Baton Pass
Swords Dance

Obviously scizor is a threat with technician, bullet punch, and swords dance. after one swords dance, its go time. if im able to, ill baton pass it to either salamence, swampert, or gyarados. definitely one of my most potent sweepers.

Gyarados (Beserker)
Adamant
Intimidate
252 Atk, 4 Spdef, 252 Spd
Wacan Berry

Waterfall
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Dragon Dance

Another potent sweeper, one dragon dance and hes good to go. and with scizors swords dance, itll be even better. hopefully he'll survive an electric attack with the wacan berry, then sweep electric types. also i plan to use him to counter other gyarados with stone edge. a great sweeper in my opinion.

now here are other several pokemon i would like to add to my team but cant decide where and who to add in.

Infernape
Timid
Blaze
252 Spatk, 4 Spdef, 252 Spd
Focus Sash

Heat Wave
Endeavor
Stealth Rock
Vacuum Wave

Obviously my suicide lead and stealth rock user. if i believe that my opponent is faster than infernape than ill use endeavor on them especailly if they happen to have dragon dance boost already in effect. however tactics like substitutes and poison status tend to mess this up very badly, as i have found out. still i think he would be really useful, but i find that its hard to play this set.

Electivire
Adamant
Motor Drive
252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Spd
Expert Belt

Ice Punch
Earthquake
Brick Break
Thunderpunch

Great Attack Coverage and having motor drive for those pesky electric types, electivire is a really useful pokemon to have. its juts its base speed isnt so great unless it gets motor drive activated. overall a good pokemon, but not sure where it would fit in my team.

Tyranitar
Adamant
Sand Stream
252 Atk, 4 Spdef, 252 Spd
Babiri Berry

Stone Edge/Rock Slide
Crunch/Fire Punch
Earthquake
Dragon Dance

Tyranitar is cool, tyranitar is awesome, but i have a hard time setting him up for some reason. his massive attack power realy helps, but some of his attacks, like stone edge dont seem to work in my favor. also fire punch would be useful against scizor and other steel types, but then i would miss out on cru nch. and often im put up against foes who are faster than him before i can even set up dragon dance. overall i like tyranitar, i want him on my team, but he seems top be overpowered by others so easily before i can have him set up.

others include metagross and flygon, but ill add them later. so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't understand your team at all. It seems to have very little synergy and pretty much just consists of a bunch of Smogon sets that you liked and dubious item choices like Occa Berry on a Baton Pass Scizor (which gets OHKO'd by a ScarfTran Flamethrower anyway) and Focus Sash on a somewhat weak DDMence.

Two questions:

What is this team's goal? How does it accomplish its goal?

Two suggestions.

1. Learn to type.
2. Look up some guides on teambuilding. You can find some on Smogon or even here.
