new player

hey i've been playing smash 64 for a couple of years now and i guess i'm what you call a console player. i've heard about this place and checked it out about a year ago but didn't bother to sign up and took me a bit to figure out that the smash 64 forum moved.

i recently got mupen and played with it for a while offline to get used to it but i'm having an error. when i close the ROM, mupen crashes every single time.

i think i remember reading there's an updated kaillera client... does anyone know where i can download it? i'm currently using the kaillera client that comes with mupen.

i'll check the come first thread in a bit

If you plan on playing online, I recommend you use project64k since thats what most ppl use on Galaxy for playing smash 64 online. You can download that from the link above.

Read the stickies about how to play online. Once you get it working it's pretty cool (although lag is terrible).

Also where are you located? If norcal you should play with me, Darth Rancorous, Blade etc.
