New NY LI TO looking to start tournaments, looking for assistance

Hey guys, I mentioned this before in the LI thread, but smash scene around here is getting pretty dead with tournaments being pretty rare both for melee and brawl.


I wanna fix that, but I need help.


Right now I'm looking primarily for some staff and venue ideas


But also I need some idea of how many people are interested, because that will help me figure out the scale that I'm looking at, and that will be important in figuring out venues and how many people I need.


Monthlies or biweeklies are the plan, depending on a variety of factors, and may scale it up to regionals, but at the moment it's planned to be locals.

Uhhh, cause I didn't know prog was looking to do the same thing I remember him mentioning he might, but I didn't know he actually decided to do it, I'll talk to him about it, thanks for the heads up.
