New Mode: Costume Challenges

Fun idea I had to keep the game fresh.

Free costume pack DLCs that coincide with special events (game anniversaries, holidays, new releases). Tie the unlocks to new challenges in single player and/or online. These are more substantial than spirits, and allow players to show off their dedication to specific characters, kind of like shiny pokemon (when they were still difficult to get), or Halo armor pieces. E.g.:

• Dry Bowser: As Bowser, come back from a near loss (1 stock to 3) in 5 online matches.
• Phantom Ganon: As Link, win against 4 lv 9 CPU Ganondorfs.

These could also be organized as little micro-challenges that pit specific fighters against each other in specialized lobbies.:

• Dark Samus (Skeletal): As Dark Samus, get 5 Elite Smash victories against Samus with at least a 2 stock advantage.
• Samus (Light Suit): As Samus, get 5 Elite Smash victories against Dark Samus with at least a 2 stock advantage.

Any other ideas?

• (Sunshine Outfit): As Mario, beat a level 9 CPU Bowser and a level 9 CPU Bowser Jr. on Delfino Plaza with a level 3 CPU Peach as an ally. You must use FLUDD at least three times during the battle.
• (Masked Dedede): As Dedede, beat a level 9 CPU Kirby on Boxing Ring. This must be done with 150 stamina, no spirits, and no handicaps.
• (Outset Toon Link): As Toon Link, clear Classic intensity 9.9 twice.

(Cross Dressing Outfit): as Cloud, beat level 9 CPU (brawler), and on Midgar stage.
(Robot Body): as Ness, beat 4x level 9 CPU on Magicant stage with 150 stamina

I was trying to think of a way to implement Robot Ness, but wasn't sure if he'd be able to keep the same hit/hurt boxes. Pajamas Ness is the other obligatory choice:

Except PJ Ness was nude Ness in Japan. Let no one saw that localization never did any good.

Pigmask Lucas & Masked Man-clothing Lucas - beat 3 Ganondorfs with ray guns and other Pigmask-esque items along with fast-charging final smash meters, and a Masked Man alt. Lucas after beating the Ganondorfs, on Wrecking Crew.

Raichu-colored Pikachu - fight a giant, tough, red Pikachu on Pokemon Stadium; the floor is electric ever so often.

Fire Mario - fight whatever alt. took Fire Mario's place as well as Fire Luigi, both being tough with Luigi primarily using fire balls, on Mushroom Kingdom (64).

Except PJ Ness was nude Ness in Japan.

Sanitized Agent 3: Defeat Lvl. 9 R.O.B. as Inkling wearing the Agent 3 skin on Midgar using the Killer Wail within 3 minutes.

Twilight Ganondorf: Defeat Lvl. 9 Ganondorf as Link on the Bridge of Eldin while teamed up with Zelda.

That was only when he was in Magicant. Even then, I'd laugh my ass off if that was even a DLC costume and there was a censor bar covering him.

Mission: Defeat Diddy Kong and Isabelle (Reference to Dixie Kong). Enemies are easily distracted by items.
Reward: Baron K. Roolenstein Costume


Stage: Mario Galaxy (Reference to the Moon)
Hazards: Skull Kid and Moon Assist Trophies appear every once in a while.
Mission: Defeat Ivysaur, Duck Hunt, Greninja, and Snake (Reference to the four children who represent Odolwa, Goht, Gyorg, and Twinmold)
Reward: Fierce Deity Costume
