I left my wallet in
[ I apologize if this is already known, I am not a Marth main, but while messing around with him, I found this interesting way to grab the ledge]

To understand this trick you'll need an understanding of the Walkoff Edgehog or "PC Chris Edgehog." Here's a crash course: With any character (some characters are easier than others by far) walk toward the edge (not dash) right before you fall off, slam back on the control stick. Your character will do a turn around, but he keep the momentum of the walk, and grabs the edge. Here's an example: http://youtube.com/watch?v=g6DI-Ldj1DI

Now, here's what I found with Marth [again, really sorry if this is old] if you do a full speed dash toward the ledge, wavedash forward so that you're walking, and turn around you will keep your momentum and slide off the ledge from way farther than the regular Walkoff Edgehog. Let's do that again.

1. Dash toward the ledge (the more speed the better) [more speed on your dash=more chance of success]

2. Wavedash forward (not supposed to be a big wavedash)

3. Keep DIing toward the edge, so you don't lose any momentum during your walk

4. Now slam back on the control stick like you would in a Walkoff edgehog, but you'll notice that you can do this from way farther away than the regular Walkoff Edgehog.

Application: You are on the left side of FD, you tip forward smash a Shiek to the right, almost killing her, you'll need to grab the ledge to ensure the kill. Dash toward it, wavedash forward, keep DIing toward the ledge so you don't lose momentum slam back on the control stick and grab the ledge.

It kinda looks like a moonwalk forwards.
Try it out and tell me what you think.

This is faster than doing that:

Run at the edge, wavedash towards it, dd or pivot to turn around, wd immediately backwards off the edge and ff.

Slowly starting to enjoy my mothertongue again. :)

Another fast method, I personally think it's slightly slower, Fastliketree claims it's faster. Whatever. Anyway:

Dash toward the ledge
Crouch
Dash forward and immediately
Pivot a wavedash backwards

Basically, it's a FLT grab, but you replace the grab with a WD towards the edge. It looks good on Marth, because the hight of his crouch is about the same as that of his dashing animation, so it looks like you run and then suddenly wavedash while looking the opposite direction.

However, Cactuar's method is easier, and it's the one I use to do it consistently.
