New Kirby Technique.....Sliding Up B

DSGnoll....a smash 64 player who plays on the Japanese version has discovered a new Kirby technique

How to Do it:
He commented to me (GCLU) on how to use it
DsGnoll: dash -> turning -> up+b before kirby starts skating.
perhaps, this skill would be available on Japanese version only.

Could soemone here check whethere this technique works (or works as well) on the American version?

Agreed. You actually don't even need to turn around. Just dash and do up b fast.

But it seems (in the tests i did) that you have to hit the other in a very small "target" to do it properly.

Ahh the up+B... such a good move. Already knew about this. This is old. It never works on anybody though... it's pretty pointless.... the only thing that accually works on good people that I have never seen anybody do with up+b is if you break somebody's shield near the edge,(you know the kirby shield break combo) and while they are "dazed" you hurry and push them to the edge if you can, you have to do it slow but as fast and as close to the edge as possible, and do the up+B and it hits them up and you spike them down for a free kill... but when you do it, you have to move forward justa hair then press up+B at the same time and the free kill happens... obviously DI can get you out, but it's hard to do on the sword.


Here is a video... it's a part in my one video with me vs. fireblaster.. I do the shield break on his second stock with him having 8% then the sword hit gives him 16% then the spike gives him 18%... and the free kill. cheers.

Kirbys UpB kinda makes you float for a little while so using it with dash animation only makes sence xP

Japanese and American-European versions have A LOT of differences in character moves.

In the japanese version is easier to do combos with mario and luigi using the fireball in comparison with the american version.
