So, I was messin around in training mode as marth against a snake (who was set on "stand" or w/e, where he does nothing, except use jump and up-b to recover) on FD.

At one point, I hit him off the stage, and he used his jump, then up-B. He got stuck under the corner of the stage, so I jumped off and bair'd him (that put him to 20% or something near that. He bounced off the wall a bit, and began to do a new up-b. He missed the edge with it though, so I dropped from the edge, attempted to hit him with marth's up-b in an attempt to save him, but I missed, and fell and regrabbed the edge.

Right after I regrabbed the edge, his up-b ended, and this is what is wierd. He let go of the parachute thingy, and when it was right over his head, there was a little explosion above him, that did not make noise, deal him damage, or touch him at all (knockback-wise, his head was basically in the explosion) and the original parachute disappeared. He then did up-b again.

Since this was in training mode, I couldn't get any replay, and I wasn't filming, so no footage sorry. If this is known, again, sorry, otherwise, try to figure it out. It may have just been a freak one-time crazy brawl glitch, but I don't know.

99.9% chance (.1% margin of error) you footstooled his cypher (basically you touched his cypher but you probably thought you did nothing or you didn't see the touch)

Boy these keep coming up over and over again.

I was below him/ to the left of him the whole time. Not to mention marth can't footstool (as far as I know) after he does up-b. Also, why did the explosion happen?

EDIT: Out of curiosity, since I don't pay too much attention to snake, do you meant that if snake is doing the cypher, he is footstooled before it ends, and he can do it again after it ends? That's pretty cool, if that's what you mean, I didn't know that. But I wasn't close to him, and I missed w/ the up-b horribly.

There's a video of this somewhere...some CPU Snake's Nikita lands on his cypher as it flies away and he regains his up+b (performs it immediately). I don't know if it's related to this incident or not but I think it's all one big glitchy fluke.

Hmmm. It wasn't that I know because it was in training, and the comp didn't use any move cept for cypher. I have a feeling you're right and it was just a crazy glitch.

well if your cypher gets destroyed you can up b again, i've noticed this in tournament matches and such, but alot of the time your cypher just flys away, idk why this happens but randomly it will blow up and you can use it again.

^^ the cypher blows up? Like an explosion and all? I guess that was what happened. Keep in mind that the explosion made no noise, didn't hurt snake, but yes, the cypher did disappear when it happened. Can it be controlled to make it blow up like that? That would be pretty cool if it could be

he up-b-ed, you footstooled, he used up-b again
since more than one cypher can't exist on one stage, the first cypher will blow up to only keep 1 cypher on stage

tl;dr: up-b, footstool, up-b, first cypher asplooodeszors

^^ Would the first up-b stop if I did footstool? or would it go until its time ran out, and then he would up-b again. Because when he started his second up-b, I was far away by that point. I am almost positive I didn't footstool, but if what I just asked is what you mean, I guess it's the only logical reason why.
