New/Final build to be shown at PAX closed media session?

i don't think it will be the full roster... i don't think anything should be revealed exclusively at PAX.. I'm glad.. but never felt like an e3...

Things get exclusively revealed at smaller shows all the time. The Robin/Lucina trailer is actually the only trailer that WASN'T revealed at or during a tradeshow of some kind and only 4 of them have been at E3. PAX isn't as big as E3, but it's close to Japanese release, and it's big enough to warrant some kind of reveal or info. To be perfectly honest, I'm still shocked they didn't reveal anything at Comic-con considering the breadth of their coverage.

Everyone including me said there is no way they will reveal a character for a Japanese only event, and guess what it happened.

Err, unless it was during some event in Japan... Little Mac, Rosalina, and Greninja all simply got revealed in various directs that were released internationally at the same time. That's in addition to Robin and Lucina.

I'm not expecting too much from PAX regarding roster. New features, or stages, or an updated build - sure, but revealing the whole roster is seriously a longshot imo.

They might have been told of the starting roster, some Wii U exclusive stuff and possibly how Amiibos are implemented.

By Wii U exclusive stuff, I mean modes and or online related capabilities or something.

Did someone actually give the date?

If true, that sounds like they were allowed to play the final build of the game and actually saw the final roster. The specific date is the Japanese release date. So, it's something they don't want revealed until launch, but something they think reporting on would drum up sales.

Well, I guess there's one way to confirm that. Let's see if Gamexplain posts any more roster or gameplay speculation videos. If they don't, it means it's likely covered by the embargo.

It's kind of ridiculous that they can't talk about absolutely anything.

I know they probably don't want characters getting out and all that jazz, but even if GameXplain were allowed to make a discussion, I wouldn't mind hearing vague stuff that could be exciting, like "the roster is bigger than people imagined" or "there are a lot of cool stuff in-store that have not been announced or leaked". Absolutely anything so I'm not left with a dry tease for two weeks.

If you're referring to the media event, then nowhere. It was a closed media event and everyone there was made to sign a legal agreement preventing them from leaking any of the content that was shown. The odds of there being any footage of it anywhere (except maybe under lock and key at Nintendo HQ) are astronomically small.

There's a Smash panel with top players at 9:30 on Saturday, Seattle time. Don't know what part of Europe you're in, but you can work out the time difference with this map: http://www.timeanddate.com/time/map/. I don't know if it's being streamed anywhere though.

I just want to clarify again that they won't be showing off any new stuff at this particular event. The showing off of the new build happened/is going to happen in a closed media session. None of the guests are allowed to talk about it until the game releases in Japan, meaning no footage available to the public.

At least according to the PAX schedule, there is nothing else Smash related going on. Then again, the schedule I saw didn't even have the Melee events that have happened, so I cannot verify either way with certainty.

All the schedule seems to have was the Brawl tourney. Regardless, there is no word on any stream. I don't think it exists.
