Hey guys. I'm Ryan. I'm kind of new to this whole competitive smash scene. I did compete in EVO this year, and even though I lost (1-2), my mind was blown by the sheer dedication and love for the game that I never experienced before in any game I've seen or played.

I wanna get good at this game, but from where I live, I can't find anyone who can really test me. If there is anyone in the general Thurston-Lewis County area in Washington state who eats, sleeps, and breathes Smash, I would love to meet and play so I can try to come back to EVO next year a stronger, smarter competitor.

SMASH IS LOVE, SMASH IS LIFE!

Hey Ryan.

For local competition, you can check the Regional Zones forum to see about playing with your local Smashers. It also wouldn't hurt to check to see if there is a Facebook social group for Smash in your area.

And since you're a newbie to competitive Smash, I'll link you to the wonderful guide to competitive Smash. You can give that a read if you're interested.

Most importantly, welcome to the forums and I hope you enjoy your time here :)

Welcome! Im glad you decided to join the competitive scene as that im also quite new to playing competitively. Also (1-2) is impressive in my book if you include the amount of pressure one might feel haha. Good job! And enjoy the smash boards :3
