I think a lot of them were shown in Directs and things, but it's a good find nonetheless. Wondering if the uniforms are going to strictly be uniforms, or if you're allowed to mix'n'match parts. At a glance, it looks like you get a headgear choice, but the pants and shirt must match.

Also, has the Smash item in this screenshot been elaborated on elsewhere? Return of the trophy stand?

That's what it looks like to me, we've seen tons of options for head wear, from top hats to Meta Knight. It does look like the body is the rest of the customization, and it changes the gun/sword/gloves that your mii uses as well.

They are getting tons of visual customization options, which is quite awesome imo.

I just hope the alt costume choices for the regular fighters are similarly variable. Also, I wonder if there will be an All Up powerup in Smash Bros? Was playing Kirby's City Trial last night and had forgotten that was a thing.

This game looks pretty great. After playing it in-person, I was sold more on its graphics. There's really no jaggies and the colors pop. Looks smooth. I'm speaking of the 3ds version of course.

So looking at these pictures makes me envision that to be the same way. Looks great. :b:

On the subject of Wii U's version, I love the menu colors and layout!

That dark background. Mm.

{edit} Wait, equipment? what?

The little bronze smash emblem are coins. Bronze is the least amount, going up to silver and to gold as well.

Dropping pocket change that they know some players won't be able to help but pick up. They really know how to mess with people.

Still, I think of all the silly Subspace elements that wouldn't really work outside of that mode, Trophy Stands would be a good one to keep.

I did love the idea of trophy stands. They were fun, and gave bosses an extra challenge.

@ Hayzie Hayzie Sakurai explains equipment here
You know, I clicked on that page but never scrolled down that far. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, bro.

Hopefully as a part of custom movesets, these equippable items can be disabled as a part of local or online friend matches to just have custom movesets only.

They are part of the entire customization stint along with the customizable special moves; which means they can be toggled at the top of the screen with the customizations button. And I'm pretty sure they are all disabled online in with anyone matches, along with mii's, but are usable in with friends matches.

If this is the menu for customization in smash run/ smash with friends, I wonder if all characters will have the Outfit option as well (aside from headgear, that seems to be Mii only).

This opens possbility of other characters having outfits as well, that would be very interesing.

I think this will be just for the Mii fighters, to give them stuff like these. I believe Sakurai also mentioned this on the website.

Just to confirm, yes, the All Power-Up is back.

Also new is a timed power-up, which temporarily boosts the stat by a lot.

I'm personally excited to see all these outfits. I'm hoping if they can put more trophies then Brawl, they could probably do all the Streetpass Hats and some costumes too, right? Swapnote Nikki will live again!

edit: nice to know someone else is playing Kirby's Air Ride as well.

Classic Mode only has 6 STAGES?!

And not only that, it still has that terrible Score System from Brawl... i want these kind of scores back.

It seems like most of 3DS Smash' resources went to Smash Run, ah well. The Wii U version better make up for this.

I don't see that as bad thing. The number of stages in Brawl made the classic mode drag a bit, in my opinion. I would love if there is a way to turn off **** like giant versions of characters and "team character' in classic mode. I am also waiting for All-Stars mode to be confirmed...

All-Star Mode was confirmed by Sakurai during April's Smash Direct. So don't worry about that ;)

Classic scores have never mattered, so I don't really care much about that, I just love all the juicy rewards you can get :estatic:

Seriously though, there must be a million trophies in this game if you unlock four of them from a single classic run.

I think there's 12 but it doesn't pop up until the stage is complete

The Japanese screenshot has them only on Stage 3, and it still has 6 slots.

Think of it this way:

6 slots, which are branching paths (so there are more POSSIBLE routes).
9 difficulty levels (or more? I don't remember how KIU works with that).
At least 50 characters that you will have to play through this as.

Honestly, this is probably a good thing. You have to remember that the 3DS version is designed for play "on the go", and the idea that you're playing in short bursts.

I would imagine the Wii U version has a full, 11-12 stage Classic Mode.

The level intensity is likely playing a role with this. Higher level difficulties will yield more trophies.

I cant expect 50 characters at all until Smash 5 (46 im okay with). Besides that, if thers is 6 slots but 18 branching paths, thats kinda more than 12 paths/slots

To answer your question, yes, there is an All Powerup. You can see Peach nab it in the 4.8.2014 Nintendo Direct. Instead of a circle, it looks like a star.

Interesting. I like how clear the visuals are- it'll help when trying to equip my characters on my Japanese version (I'm not fluent, so I hope it's not too complicated).
