Did she take a mini-mushroom or something there? Kirby's gonna step on her.

What stage is this?

EDIT: Nevermind, I think it's the Reset Bomb Forest stage. Just hadn't seen it from that angle before.

Well damn, I was quite afraid 3DS-version might pale big-time compared to the Wii U's version, but this made me eat my words, especially when the shots in much higher quality and up close.

These in particular must have been made for me. (~´v`~)

Yeah, people who say the 3DS vers. looks bad aesthetically are insane. It's really quite nice.

The 3DS version if anything, is pretty much onspot with Brawl. The trailer did NO justice for the 60 FPS gameplay.

If you have Mario Kart 7, which runs are 60 FPS, you should get a feel for how vivid and great its going to look.

Also look at Dead or Alive: Dimensions, which was a 3RD party LAUNCH title. Same for Resident Evil: Revelations. That game was visually stunning on the 3DS. Seriously mindblowing.

Yup. You have to realize that first off videos and screenshots hardly do justice. 3D acts like anti-aliasing a lot of the time + every screenshot of a 3DS I've ever seen is jpg format which is inherently a lossy format. it's no Wii U version but it will surprise most people I think.

He does, but it's just a weird angle.

Strange, Kirby is outlined in red.

Although Kirby is partially outlined in red too in the other picture. Maybe they are using some sort negativity thing in the outlines?

Kinda, but I think it looks pretty solid without any regard for the system it's on.

Plus, yknow, gotta consider that most of the time we're viewing these characters from a medium distance, not up close (unless we're taking screenshots ourselves).

I said it was "pretty solid", not "absolutely beautiful". Not like it's comparable to the WiiU graphics, sure, but I really disagree with the idea of them being ugly.

It does look like it could be on par with the Wii U version up close. Nevertheless, the graphics for both Smash games look simply amazing and gorgeous.

Yeah it looks like they're after polishing up things a fair bit. The 3ds images look a lot better than older screenshots. Damn this game cannot come out soon enough. Must smash.

Honestly, I think the 3DS version is looking pretty good. Maybe not as good as the Wii U version but it still looks really good in its own right imo.

Something I notice is the outlines seem to get much thinner the closer the character is to the "screen".

Assuming the outlines function similarly in the actual game I think they'll be less intrusive than people initially complained they would be. In a lot of those screens you can barely tell they are on.

IIRC MK7 runs at 30 FPS in 3D mode.
