**LOCK PLEASE**

Now, I DID post this in the Tactical Brawl Discussion board, but the way I see it is that the only people who might know about this are the Zamus mains (seeing as they have the only tourney-legal items you can Z-Drop; the armor pieces), and you guys are the only ones I can see befitting from this if it proves useful. So, without further ado:

First, see the first thing I do in this video:

Now, for my question: what the heck did I do? At first, I thought I had glide-tossed, but then I remembered that you can't Z-Drop a bat and glide toss it at the same time. Where did the slide come from? Is this some kind of tech? All I was doing at the time was slamming the control stick right to turn around and throw the bat while pressing Z to throw it. I don't remember pressing L or R as I did it :S

That looks as if you glide tossed the bat downwards. I do that with pieces occasionally trying punish rolls or dashing after me.

The down throw doesn't send the piece too far upwards if I recall correctly... still, i'm going to try this out now =]

Posting from my phone, so I can't view the video yet. I just wanted to mention that ZSS is not the only character who has tourney legal Z-drop items - you forgot Link, Peach, Wario, Snake and Toon Link.

You can tell that he didn't throw it. The noise it makes is in fact the drop noise, and there's no animation of Zelda throwing it or the bat bouncing off the ground. Someone will need to look into this to try and recreate it, although I can't really think of any use for it off the top of my head.

*Standing* Z-Drop, I should have said. Actually, now that I've checked it, nobody has any tourney-legal items that are Z-Dropped this way... not even Zamus. I could've sworn you could Z-Drop suit pieces... Ah, well, my bad. May as well lock this thread :\
