Ness in tournaments

Just out of curiosity, has anybody ever won a tourney (or at least placed in the top 3) with Ness? I don't care if it's an official Nintendo tournament or something a group of people threw together. List some of your rankings, if you'd like...



25th out of... I think 33 (first tournament)

Well I placed 33rd at my first tournament. 60+ ppl were there and I barely lost to a GaW (first time playing him) who was like best friends with one of the guys who got top 3 (meaning they practice a lot). Both matches I lost were really close FFFPFPFPF.

The day before brawl came out I placed 7th at a biweekly hosted by chudat (tying with him btw). I lost to g-reg (i preformed a 0-death combo on him 10 secs into the game) then I lost to some guy who also lost to g-reg.

I'm practicing to win the next tournament I'm at. This time I'm much better prepared with the MK matchup (I was forced to ditto as I wasn't confident with Ness in this matchup yet).

I actually placed 4th at a local tourney around where I live. The entry count was 25. It was pretty excellent.

I've gotten 9th twice at U of M biweeklies using Ness and lucas.

Simna's won one, not sure which tournament, but w/e.

I'm going to a 120 person tourney this weekend, yoshi'll will be my main man but if I want some quick "cheap" kills I'll throw ness out there with his killer spike and PKT mindgames . Most for MKs cause ness shreads them and that's who about half the people around here decided to use.

PS: You guys got any tips for great matchups? I hear ness destroys zelda while zelda destroys yoshi so if that's true definetly a Ness job, what would you say ness's easiest matchup is though?

easiest matchup would be a sucky Bowser.

believe it or not, I found MK to be a really easy match up. Ness fair can get around MK's sword and MK dies to Ness's back throw at less than 100%. I love throwing that ***** off the screen

2place in a tourney...... lost to a king dedede i dont know that can do chain grabi lost bad..... there was around 40+ people i won a japanese mario figure 22cms not bad prize....

Placed first at a tourney I held. It was local. Not that many good people but it was fun. I used oli and ness and I have vids that i need to upload eventually.
