What's first shot mean?

Can't one of samus aerial moves be absorbed (where an explosion comes out of her gun)

Just be careful not to get in a trap. Doesn't it also stop all horizonatal recovery? Sometimes I use Psi Magnet to slow my fall in the air. Sure it has lag, but it delays the game a little bit, and the opponent might think that I have a jacket equipped.

1st shot is the amont the move will recover if the move hasn't hit anyone yet.

Mario's fireballs do 6% the 1st time they hit, the 2nd time they hit (if they are used again before he dies, or doesn't hit you with any other hit) it will do less damage therefore restoring less %.

The only way to restore the full attack power of a move is to lose a stock but by using more then one move the attacks power (% and how far it sends you) won't drain that much.

Nice guide. This is on SmashWiki, but this is more specific. +Rep!
You might wanna add that a Shuffled blizzardfrom the Icys can heal about 72%
Also, PSI Magnet does stop horizontal movement and slows descent, so you could use it, but it is not really all that necessary since Ness' recovery covers a great distnace.
In battle, use it against projectile spammers who are retreating like when Doc uses "Fleeing the drug scene"
Also, in team matches, it is awesome.
Camp the guns on Corneria and Crouch cancel and tech the charge and absorb the shots.

I should have said only one part of the two part Blizzard, I only posted this though because of Fox/Falco and Mewtwo (I found those 3 very neat ok).

Damage absorbed = 2x what the projectile's normal damage is. The most useful thing here is actually having the amounts that each individual attack will heal.

You can absorb Pikachu's Thunder too. You just have to make sure to be as high as possible or you'll be hit by the explosion at the bottom.

Thank you Deku Boy for catching that overlooked error, I updated the info.

Pika's thunder Bolt heals 20% each up to 4x.
Pichu's thunder Bolt heals 8% each up to 4x.
