Neokun's Smash Roster: 44 Characters [a work in progress]

[Neokun]

Characters in green are confirmed and good to go.

Characters in red are unconfirmed but likely.

Characters in blue are my own wildcards that I think will, or should be in the game, and obviously arent confirmed. They will usually be a wildcard of several different characters I'm undecided on, but out of those wildcards I only think one will make it. Example, Kunckles and Tails.

At the bottom, characters in purple are characters who I don't think will return.

Continuing onward, characters who are popular among the boards as newcomers who I dont think stand a reasonable chance, in yellow.

Mario Series:
Mario - CONFIRMED
Obviously.

Luigi - NOT CONFIRMED - High Probability
I think Luigi should get a new moveset featuring the Luigi's Mansion vacuum and Thunder, instead of a green version of Mario's fire...he used thunder in the Mario and Luigi games.

Yoshi - CONFIRMED
Obviously. Now, with more recovery options.

Wario - CONFIRMED
I dont like him, and I dont like his character in the game, but I'm glad he was added.

Waluigi - NOT CONFIRMED - Medium Probability
I think they will put this guy in the game not only to establish him as his own character, but he has in been in a crapload of other Mario games since his conception, so I dont see why he doesnt have a chance.

Peach - CONFIRMED
Still has a gay downsmash, it appears. Not much to say on her, never was a fan.

Bowser - CONFIRMED
I hope they give him a little boost this time around. I really am not a fan of Bowser but he sucked pretty bad in Melee [I know a guy who can play a mean Bowser though].


DR. MARIO SERIES

Dr Mario - NOT CONFIRMED
With a new DR. Mario game on the Wii coming up, I think his inclusion is a little more gaurunteed than it used to be. I think a lot of the old Melee-ers will be coming back, save for a select few, listed at the bottom. Perhaps a newer moveset.

SONIC SERIES

Sonic -CONFIRMED
We all knew it was coming.

Knuckles OR Tails
I think that one of these characters would make Sonic a little less lonely in Brawl.

STARFOX SERIES

Fox - CONFIRMED
Still shinespikealicious.

Wolf - Wolf is in blue because I think Krystal has a solid chance of getting in, but Wolf is more of a wildcard. He would be Falco's replacement, though. If no Wolf, than probably Falco.

Krystal - NOT CONFIRMED
We all know she is going to be in this game. A high score on the polls, originality, and uniqueness only add to her chances.

F-ZERO SERIES

14. Captain Falcon - NOT CONFIRMED
I think its a given he will return, as he was a favorite in Melee and a solid character with unique moves.

POKEMON SERIES

15. Pikachu - CONFIRMED
Pikachu is Pikachu, and I dont think we will be seeing Pichu in this game.

16. Jigglypuff - NOT CONFIRMED
But a given to return, as she has been in the past two games.

17. Lucario - NOT CONFIRMED
I am extremely confident that this humanoid fighter will be in this game. If they dont put Lucario in here, I will be pissed just because its a stupid idea not to put him in. He has the popularity, the build, and the potential for a badass moveset.

18. Pokemon Trainer - CONFIRMED

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA SERIES

19. Link - CONFIRMED
Link's back with a chargable spin attack. Woot.

20. Zelda/Shiek[?] - PARTIALLY CONFIRMED
I think Shiek will be in this game, due to various outside reasons, one of the most important being that she was a favorite in Melee and removing her would be like removing Ryu from Street Fighter.

21. Ganondorf - NOT CONFIRMED
But very likely. Removing Ganondorf would be a stupid move. I predict a new moveset, most notably a down B move involving a sword, and a side B that isnt a clone of C-Falcs. In other words, less cloney...I dont think we will see a lot of cloneyness in this game.

22. Cartoon Link OR Wolf Link/Midna pair - NOT CONFIRMED
WW Link or, as I call it, Cartoon Link has a better chance than Wolf/Midna. C-Link would replace Young Link, but still play similar to Young Link when compared to Link. Just some move ideas: Deku Leaf attack and recovery [^+B], bombchus [v+B], boomerang [side+B], and bow . Grappling hook side B maybe? I wont bother with a Midna set because I dont think theyll make it.

MOTHER SERIES

23. Ness - NOT CONFIRMED
Removing Ness would be a bad move. I think he will return for the third time.

24. Lucas - CONFIRMED
Hopefully with a unique moveset so Ness can come back.

KID ICARUS SERIES

25. Pit - CONFIRMED
Looks like a fun one. Might play him alot.

KIRBY SERIES
26. Kirby - CONFIRMED
He will be in it.

27. Metaknight - CONFIRMED
This character looks like its going to attract a lot of new***s.

METAL GEAR SOLID SERIES

28. Solid Snake - CONFIRMED
I think Snake will play like Shiek but with different B moves. Looks good.

GAME AND WATCH SERIES

29. Mr. Game And Watch - NOT CONFIRMED
Not on a lot of lists, but I dont see why they would remove him. He wasnt solid, but if ICs can make it back, he can. I just dont see the logic behind removing this unique character. Marked in blue because this IS a stretch.

ICE CLIMBER SERIES

30. Ice Climber - CONFIRMED
ICs are back and as cheap as ever, with TEXTURED FUR SUITS.

DONKEY KONG SERIES

31. Donkey Kong - CONFIRMED
DK is back, Donkey Punch still intact.

32. Diddy Kong - CONFIRMED
Diddy and his broken *** final smash are also confirmed. We all knew he would be in it.

PIKMIN SERIES

33. Captain Olimar - NOT CONFIRMED
Unconfirmed, but I have heard a lot of good things about him. I think his chances are good enough to add him to my roster.

How badass would it be to play as your Mii, but with the base Mii moveset? Really badass, thats how badass.

Pichu - I dont think Pichu is returning because he was not played much by tournament players much, and he is essentially just a crappy version of Pikachu with just a bit more speed. Say what you will, but Pikachu is now using Pichu goggles in SSBB, which only helps this theory out.

Marth - Roy and Marth were only in the original game to introduce some Fire Emblem to other places and to add some new styles of combat. Now that we have Ike, and possibly an additional [more prominent] FE character, I can see these two taking a backseat. Which sucks, because Marth was my other main besides Falco.

Falco - Falco is great, but I think he will be placed by more unique Starfox characters. I love him, as he is my main, and his absence will hurt me. But it must be done. Krystal would be a lot more unique in terms of moves, and while Mario/Luigi clones can easily be given diverse movesets at this point, not much distinguishes Fox and Falco besides the stun lazer and spike shine.

Mewtwo - This completely irrelevant character served no purpose other than to entertain with "my Mewtwo can beat your best character" money matches with your sucky Smash friends. And to **** around with when with your good Smash mates.

Young Link - I think Young Link will be replaced by the more prominent [in recent games] Cartoon Link, or by Midna/Wolf. I am leaning more towards Cartoon Link, however.

Porygon Z - I see people with the Porygon Z icon, and I ask..WRYYYYY.

Dedede - We our Kirby villian in the game, and Dedede is lame as hell. He will NOT be in this game, mark my words.

Other Megaman Characters besides Megaman - Because Megaman is good enough. Except maybe Bass....

Bomberman - No.

Ok i just noticed something... Dedede whon't be in this game!? HA HA and more HA!. Considering he is more whanted thant Sonic and Ridley combined i can say for sure that he will be in the game, besides he IS sakurai's creation and he's the main villain.

King Dedede was the most requested character on Sakurai's polls. He's basically 99% confirmed.

I have to highlight your text in order to see what you wrote. Color scheming, for the most part, is lame.

Sorry but this is not that good of a list. 44 characters is also a pretty high number.

After not seeing King Deedee I immediately stopped reading. Even though I am not a huge fan of Kirby games. He is actually the most requested character on Sakurai's poll, and was created by Sakurai himself to my knoweldge, there's no way he's dumping his baby. And if you're going to have Ice Climbers you're going to need a Penguin.

It was a shame not to see Marth when I was scrolling down too.

Also Sheik has nothing to do with Zelda: Twlight Princess. So why would become someone she had no connection with, in the game. While we're at it why don't we make Tetra a form of Zelda? Yeah Zelda could morph in her cel shaded from of Tetra. If anything Sheik will either be her own character to shut up cry babies and whingers or she will be cut. Something you got to live with.

Wow, this one is so chock full ignorance its almost painful. First of all, Roy and Marth were in Melee, not the original game. Second, you're utterly wrong as to why they were there - Marth was in because he deserved it (I'll explain momentarily), and Roy was in to advertise for his upcoming game, Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals, in Japan. That they wound up introducing other nations to Fire Emblem was merely a side benefit (and one that almost didn't happen, since they seriously considered removing those two from international versions of the game specifically because they had never been in a game outside Japan).

Third, Fire Emblem characters don't come any more prominent than Marth. He was the series' first Lord, the character who started it all. Hes one of the three most popular Lords of the series even after more than a decade since his most recent game. He was the star of the Fire Emblem animated series (short though it was). Plus hes the only Fire Emblem character to star in three games - the first and third, and the upcoming Fire Emblem DS (which his presence in Brawl would surely serve to advertise for). Plus of course he was a prominent character in Melee, the main FE rep for that game.

Seriously, Marth has even more reasons to be in Brawl than Ike does. If Ike weren't confirmed, it would be entirely accurate to say hes more likely to be in than Ike. As-is, the fact remains that hes a shoe-in to be the second FE rep in Brawl.

A lot of the rest of your logic is faulty at best too (my eye twitched when I noticed the exclusion of Mewtwo and King Dedede), but I'll let others dissect those.
