Sorry, i've finally decided to pick up ice climbers at the end of smash's life cycle so that i can say i know how to play everyone..

however, IC are a tad technical..and i would like to learn more of the tricks for the char.

Yesterday i practiced the basic chaingrabs; i need work on dthrow dsmash..but meh..i'll figure it out later...

anyways, i noticed weird things tend to happen if i try to use the Cstick to queue nana's moves..like queuing rolls and such..so i guessed that i am forced to smash with A..

anyways, i was wondering two things

1. What is the sequence of buttons to wd smash alternately once desynched...So you WD on stick, smash, then wd with nana, hold down and A while pressing jump for your next wd..then repeat?

i have only spent about an hour so far on tech..so i'm still a little hazy..but if i understood what was happening correctly it appears nana queues up any move on your controller, just like a roll queues normally when using the Cstick..

2. I was practicing dthrow to immediate regrab with nana on the way up from their bounce...supposedly this chaingrab works on the entire cast..and near the edge you can regrab from nana's throw to continue it infinitely..still i never see people trying it because it appears to be difficult...

i'm just wondering if i should learn it or not..it appears like the timing is different based on percent and opponent...and reacting seems impossible..you have to guess the rate at which they are going to fly up...

should i train this skill or not?

one more i guess: how do they do that ledgehog while having nana smash? do i just desynch...charge the dsmash with down + A, then jump + wavedash??? does letting go of the control stick not release the smasH? i'm guessing it is just the a button that controls it.

For the continuous desynch, the button input is exactly how it looks. Smash, wavedash (no special technique required), smash, wavedash, etc. You have to input the smash pretty quickly or else the other Ice Climber will resynch.

A suggestion: desynch, and wavesmash with Nana FIRST. She should end up in front of you, and when you wavesmash with Popo, you won't exit her range. Hopefully this will make sense once you try it.

Second question: YES!!! IC players don't learn this either because they are lazy or they don't know how to do it. It is vital in tough match-ups (Marth) in which you can not normally chaingrab. Almost every IC chaingrab is escapable with good DI/SDI, but this is 100% fool proof. The timing is difficult because the d-throw timing changes with character weight. Keep practicing and it will become easier.

Lastly, you can't really do (3). You would simply desynch, have Nana charge a smash, and wavedash to the edge, if that's your question. But as soon as you grab the ledge, you exit Nana's box, and no longer be able to control her (she'll release the smash). Instead, you can edgehog, press up to stand up onto the ledge, and during that animation have Nana smash.

ah ok..good to know..is there a list of who can be chaingrabbed? do all char need a short hop dair for the basic chaingrab, or do some need a full jump?

ok, i've been practicing a lot more, but i still don't understand why a lot of the time nana won't follow me with a wavedash after i desynch..is it because i didn't desynch and time it perfectly?

i want to be able to dsmash then have nana wd and dsmash..i assume the only prerequisites are that nana ben in range of your command to wd and your command to dsmash.

This just requires you to only be a short wd distance away after the desynch..however, often my wd makes nana begin some other action..if i leave range at any time, will nana start running to catch up? and if she isn't still in spot dodge lag she will take the end of my wd command and try to jump correct? so i have to input the wd within a frames of ending my own spotdodge while she is still in lag, correct?

Finally, i had another question. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3Xr8HdI6G8

in this video, chu always wd to something after shielding one of peach's dsmashes...is he going for jab or dtilt. I figured it was jab, but i wanted to make sure..and i'm surprised that he goes for it...i'm guessing that after having done a dsmash as peach you can't cc until the move fully ends.
