Need help with MK

So i posted a thread asking who is the best character to play as and most said MK so i tried him and i aint very good i done hardly any damage and i got sent flying off the stage straight away :urg:

So got any tips for me?

thats one of the few flaws metaknight has his weight >_> . He can kinda link attacks together to rack up damage so it shouldnt be a problem .

Anyone who doesn't say MK is the best character is insane/ignorant IMO.

Edit: Unless by "best character to play as" you mean most fun. In which case I'd pick MK, but off the top of my head Ike, Marth, Olimar, Sonic, Toon Link, Diddy, and Lucas can all be especially fun too IMO.
