Need help wavedashing from shine

It is very awkward for me...

What I do is this

1) the shine
2)Use my index finger to Jump
3)use my other index finger to hit L
4( use the Right thumb to move the stick

What Am I doing wrong, could someone show me what to do with your fingers. like a vid,

And If I wanna have a tourney ready fox, should I use Y or X to jump?

3) Jump (X with thumb)
4) Airdodge with R or L

5) Position Control Stick Down

Oh, right. At least a few days to even start doing it consistently. And then, you work on the length just in case some b****** decides to DI.

Don't try to do it too fast at first. start slow and just speed up the motion of your hands.

My thumb is not big enough to do this, dont you have to hold B until the very frame you jump, my thumbs are not exactly that quick/big...

No you dont. Just take your time.
push down on control stick with your left thumb and press b.
you can then wavedash out of shine whenever you feel like it (even when your thumb is not on b)
