So i currently do everything on a black macbook ( The black one from 2008) It struggles to even play Starcraft 2 on the lowest settings.

I have been looking into getting a PC solely for gaming and something that can run the likes of Final Fantasy 14 and SC2 on high graphics. I went into best buy and they told me to stay away from Alienware and to go with this Gateway.

Also, if i were to get this, i was planning on spending money to upgrade it from 8GB of RAM to 12. Or i was maybe thinking about upgrading the graphics card, i have heard good things about the 5770 though.

I am a big eye candy person and want my games to look the best they can. I was thinking about that computer paired with this monitor.

Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. I thought about building my own PC but by buying one i have the option to pay for it over a years time and not just all at once.

You know, if you're getting a boss desktop with a good screen, it shouldn't be that much to get a blu-ray burner with it as well.

Expand your search to eBay. The prices are lower, and you won't be slammed with an expensive, crummy warranty.

So everything i am looking at is pretty boss you say?? =D

I hope so.... and yeah i been sticking to best-buy cause there 18month financing is really helping me get it a LOT sooner. You can add Blu-ray burners in at anytime right??

The desktop is pretty good, but the future of buying a PC IMHO is by either building it yourself or going on eBay or some other e-retailer.

Yes, you can add blu-ray burners @ any time, but eBay vendors will often include them for free in some packages (I have a blu-ray player on my laptop which I bought last year for $828.)

Brick and mortar stores will often exclude this for some reason. :S
