Naruto in Brawl?

Okay, first things first. I AM NOT A NARUTO FAN. The only reason I created this thread is because a friend of mine argued that he should be a character, while I think otherwise. I don't think so because he isn't a video game character, he is an anime/manga character who has video games based on him. It would take away from the game's original purpose, which is a VIDEO GAME character smackdown. So, let me hear your opinion on the matter. Should he be in it, or shouldn't he?






P.S. Fanboys, please tone down on the fanboyism in here, okay?

I'm a Naruto fan, he is what I consider a "dream" character for SSB. But it won't happen.........yet >_>

I mean I like Naruto, but putting him in Brawl would just be a remix of Jump Ultimate Stars, b/c your giving other anime characters a chance to get in a game that's for Nintendo characters.

Impossible. Sakurai already made it clear that no character originating in anime or manga would be in Brawl in his journal (translations [thread=72642]here[/thread]).

I have nothing against Naruto (I like the tv show.... fansubbed though), and he could fit perfectly contrary to popular belief. I mean moveset wise, he has the potential to be one of the most unique characters in the game. Think about it.

Problem is, it would be just plain awkward and out of place. That's way it'd be best to keep him away. Plus, you have that Sakurai saying "No manga/anime characters".

Want Naruto in a SSB-esq game, get Jump Ultimate Stars. Good game.

Exactly, well said.

Let's keep the flame to a minimum, Naruto's a good anime. Besides I wouldn't worry about Naruto or any anime character being in SSB. Since there are already an SSB type game for anime characters called "Jump Superstars" and "Battle Stadium D.O.N." (both very good games btw ;))

My friend says that because Naruto is a popular character, so he thinks it will attract a lot of people to the game. He also says that he would be the strongest character or something crazy like that.

If, for some crazy reason, in the distant future, where anime characters are allowed in SSB, a much more iconic one like Goku, Jotaro, Astro, or Luffy would be put in long before naruto. so naruto stands no chance, even if anime characters were put in SSBB.

but nintendo already made an SSB for anime characters. go buy it instead.
