Now don't get me wrong, coping damage isn't the best way to play this game BUT seeing as how heavy snake is more percentage means less.

That being said, knowing 'when to fold 'em' is never an easy decision. But with this technique you can damage your opponent on their attack or make them think twice about their approach when you know you're about to get pwn'd.

What I'm talking about is fairly simple.

Let's say you get up-smashed by Foxy, you're at say 100% and falling back onto the stage.

You've got a few options here

1. Fall predictably and get u-air'd, b-air'd or upsmashed again.

2. Air dodge to the stage preying that don't find a gap.

3. A TONNAGE OF RANDOM OTHER THINGS including C4 spam.

4. A Grenade Punishment.

Simply take a grenade and fall helplessly to the stage. Upon your opponent hitting you they the nade will explode hurting both you and your foe.

I've ended up using it on my last legs to ensure I percentage on my foe rather than me just dying.

Thoughts? Try it for yourself.

Also works on the ground, may become very useful.

I actually do this some times... I don't really know what I'm trying to do I guess, but my opponent is still taking damage lol

I wouldn't try this. By doing this you would be taking damage from your enemy's attack and your grenade. Snake's weight doesn't justify being stupid.

C4 is far more practical since you can drop it and DI Behind to gain some space. Nades are only good on the ground.

You can also quick-cancel a Nikita, but it just feels weird imo.

I think I made too much emphasis on the fact that you always are taking damage.

In my unexpired my opponents don't try and hit my over and over know that they'll get hit, just means you can recover unchallenged.

Basically, stock nades and get your opponent to attack you close up. If your opponent's char is light enough, then you can basically get a free Uair KO on them.

I usually pull a grenade and then land and shield, by the time they reach me they get blown up.
In addition to that and 4drops, I like to dI to space a bit then back air, or neutral air, or sometimes Down airif I'm feeling lucky.
Grenading isn't the only option, nor is it the best. But it is good to mix it up so you don't become predictable.
