N64/PSX adapter issues

Anyone else have the n64/psx adapter?

I just bought a refurbed original n64 controller, it's in a super condition but it's not working with my adapter. This is the 1st n64 controller I've tried (out of 5 so far) that hasn't worked. Has anyone had this issue and got it to work somehow?

It works fine on console but for w/e reason the adapter thinks all the buttons are being pushed simultaneously.

Yah I tried. The calibration completes itself in 3 seconds because it thinks all the buttons are being input.

just take the stick out of the new controller and put it in the old one. it's super easy all you need is a jeweler's screw driver. I've done this many times it takes like 10 min.

I had heard it doesn't work with all controllers but like I said it worked with all 4 of my previous ones.

Ugh now I gotta get another controller. Or an adaptoid. Does the adaptoid work with all controllers? And where do you get one?

I use one of those too. I haven't had any instances where a controller flat-out hasn't worked, but there was one controller I had that it thought was randomly pushing down on the control stick.

From what I've heard, I think malva's right, there are just some random compatibility issues.

i have two of these adapters, one bought from amazon and another in a local gamestop competitor shop called Play N' Trade; both are different case colors and have different company stickers. they work just fine on all 5 of my n64 controllers, i just have first party controllers/sticks btw.

i guess im one of the lucky ones, but i haven't tried using 3rd party controllers or sticks OR hori's. i can't tell by ur post (Sheer) what kind of controllers you are using (1st or 3rd party)
i've heard people have a hard time with 3rd party controllers on these adapters, but for me 1st party is fine.

and it takes a PH#0(Phillips, Cross, +) screwdriver to remove the screws effectively from 1st party controllers if you want to remove the joystick module to map buttons first

EDIT: i just thought of something, i could probably give you my mapped controller file for at least JaboDInput, Might work...? ill edit this post with a link to the dl.

EDIT2: for whatever reason mediafire wouldn't let me upload the file. so ull have to SUFFER megaupload if you wana test this, here you go
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V8M6PWS2

EDIT3: make sure the light closest to the N64 port is on (in both my cases the RIGHT light(green) and the switch in the FRONT position)

i have that problem with some controllers, i read somewhere that if you connect both PS and N64 controllers at the same time it works well for the n64 controller.

the good news is that it does work for me =) so you can try that too! good luck!

Do you have one firo? It works well? Do you have just the n64 one or n64/gc?

Might have to get one.

And yes all my controllers are 1st party. This is the 1st one that hasn't worked.

it should work for mac, but to be completely sure a copy of parallel software WILL work
with a copy of windows as well if im not mistaken

its what one of my friends uses to play kaillera games with an adapter/a ps3 controller (n64 adapter/ps3 for snes+mame), everyone of the emulators works 100% properly with his set-up and for his college class he NEEDS the mac, art school LOL.

Yes. I actually have two adapters, one original n64/gc (gc support works great) and just an N64 one that was sent to me with the fixed hori support. But both models use the same hardware.
