hey, im a marth player but i need a good alt. im thinking fox.
ive never really played fox until, hmm, just yesterday so i know i suck.
but someone told me the character specific thread would be the place to go for advice.
so heres some vids. foxies help me out! and you can be harsh i dont mind.

all these matches are against jigglypuff.
i know things like against marthsheiks shines to grabs uthrow to uair.
and uthrow to usmash, chaingrabbin, good shine spikes on other spacies.

It's pretty annoying not having sound effects on when watching a video. If you're gonna put in custom soundtracks like that at least go in and turn off the ssbm music but leave the sounds on and in the final video.

Not bad, you got some good tech skills, but you do mess up on your spacing. btw, how do you do that instant walljump as soon as you get off the ledge?

1) Work on your short-hops. One of newbie Foxs' worst problems.
2) Work on your SHFFLs. Fast-fall your dairs and l-cancel them. I saw that one of your main approaches was short hopped/l-cancelled dairs, but you didn't fast-fall them. If you don't already use the C-stick, use it.
3) Don't start out just with lasers. Try working on your short-hop laser. It's also an okay approach as well.
4) People overlook full jump triple laser, so you should use that. It's useful in some situations, and it's pretty easy to get down.
5) Practice sweetspotting the ledge with your recoveries.
6) Throw in a bit more defensive play into your strategy. You were too aggressive and fell for your friend's easiest tricks...

Ok, it looks like you have potential and can already do advanced things with him, he's just a little harder than Marth to do them. Eventually, you'll get a better feel for him and look at all the things you can do in the stickies and I'm sure you could get much better.

Best combo is a drillshine to dthrow to u smash. Then again watch out for being predictable because of htem teching it. but if they always tech one way you can tech chase it

i agree w/ kerploplesteesh, yeah, it only really works on slow teching characters on players who you can predict very well. the only time i ever, *ever*, use this is on a high % jiggs or other floaty character when i forget, *forget*, to not grab.
