Mystery Game Mode

This was only on screen for a short moment during the presentation, but I really want to know what it might be.

Could this be an adventure mode of some sort?

Yeah, my thought was a Classic mode where you have some choice in your next opponent.

I hope this is a sneak peak at the new Adventure mode, because by the looks of it, this is exactly how I wanted a Melee styled adventure mode to work like. A Starfox styled different path's to take instead of going through every single series which could wind up being very tedious in the long run when you are trying to do it with every character whereas like this the experience can be more fresh with every run through and shorter too.

It could be an updated Classic Mode, but who knows? The map looks like it could be vast, as it splits off into many different directions.

I would be fine with a Melee style Adventure Mode in the 3DS version if it did have updates such as branching paths, and included a platforming stage for every character. I want something more fully-scaled like SSE for the Wii U version, sans cutscenes.

This is probably the new adventure mode. Or maybe Classic mode. It has to be one of those two.

My guess is All-Star mode, or something like it, since that mode normally divides the game by franchise, but it could just as easily be Classic or Adventure mode

I'd guess Adventure mode, and that the other scene of wagering coins to amp up the difficulty (like the Heart Cauldron in KI:U), is also related to this mode.

I hope it's something like Melee's adventure mode. Maybe they could do the stages like the temple maze and the Mario stage thing.

I doubt it is Classic Mode, since that would defeat the purpose of being named "Classic Mode".

Given its placement in the trailer, I'm going to guess its Classic Mode, now with branching paths. Kind of questioning what everything on there means. Obviously the series icons are the actual stages, but its those other things I'm a bit confused on. Like I guess if you beat the center Pokemon stage, you will then go down the path to get that Gogoat trophy, but what's with the floating Mii head or that little yellow thing on the Mega Man icon? I would guess that the coin in front of the Pokemon thing means you get some extra coins from it, though maybe it means its a coin match. Heck, maybe its a toll.

What's so "Classic" if it's classic mode? I believe it could be a adventure mode and you have choices on paths you would like to take.

I'm pretty sure it's either revamped classic or a new adventure mode.

A combination of Adventure Mode and Subspace Emissary. It could be named Smashing Destination or something

I remembered of Meteos' single player mode called 'Star Trip', where you can choose between three types of progression:

>Straight, just like the current Classic Mode;
>Branch, multiple routes with different enemies, leading to seven different endings;
>Multi, mission-based progression;

It could be something like this, as an attempt to merge Classic mode and Melee-style Adventure mode into only one thing.

BTW, I loved the Kid Icarus difficulty system.
