So many ppl are playing Snake now! Is their something I'm missing? O.o

I play at least 8 different Snake players every day (or the same ones) whenever a new player comes to the match finder he's a Snake player.

I remember when I came to this topic and said "Why is Snake so unpopular?" now I want to know why is he so popular?

:confused::ohwell:

Unfortunately Snake players are winning lots of tournaments. So people are starting to think "he must be good if he is winning tourneys I'm going to main him." It looks like the Snake bandwagon has already begun. =[

Why is it unfortunate that Snake users are winning tournaments, exactly?

Why snake bandwagon, i wish it was back to when snake was the unpopular person who made people so mad when he beat them. Now everyone is snake and it not fun.

People winning tourneys with characters make that character go higher on the tier list. As you know high and top tier characters are newb and noob magnets. If it is like melee we will be seeing a lot more Snake vs Snake in tourneys.

I still don't understand how that is unfortunate. If noobs pick Snake then pros will beat them with, regardless of Snake's tier, any character...

No noob picking Snake is winning tournaments.

Its just the fact that noobs are even picking him based on tiers that is bad. People should choose a character based on who they like and not because of tiers. Granted noobs may not know how to use Snake and get killed but each noob Snake adds on to Snake's reputation. Look at Pit now. Noobs flock to him and people hate Pit because of spammers and noobs. People already hate Snake but not because of spammers it is because Snake is an amazing character with little flaws.

I'll admit it is lame to see people picking their mains based on how high up they are on the tier list. Alas, if noobs want to pick Snake based on how high he is on the tier list I'm not complaining...

Noobs playing Snake = free money. *shrug*

I can only assume people hate Pit because of how gimmicky he is (arrows, side B). Meh, most Pits are extremely predictable though. Spamming arrows from across the map, and once you get close range they'll Fsmash/Dsmash. An easy way to approach is just perfectshield all his arrows up until mid-range whilst spacing so yr not in range of his Fmash, and punish (in respect to whatever character you use). Hopefully Pit users get out of that mindset soon. o_O;

people are just discovering more advanced stuff with snake (and metaknight) faster than the other characters, so more people use him because right now he's one of the better options.

i feel like eventually this game is going to be really balanced out, with the exception of certain characters. given all the various chaingrabs, AT's, combos and so on that get discovered on a relatively frequent basis, i think with some digging most of the characters will have a strong chance against one another, ultimately boiling down to a big game of rock-paper-scissors :p
